2000 IT Professionals Head to Bauchi for Nigeria Computer Society’s CeSES 2023

…The conference is to be held from August 8 to 10, 2023

Preparations are in top gears for the gathering of Information Technology (IT) professionals in Bauchi, Bauchi State capital, Nigeria, Techeconomy can report.

The IT professionals under the auspices of the Nigeria Computer Society (NCS), will converge at the Event Place, Murtala Mohammed Way, Federal Low Cost Bypass, Bauchi on Tuesday August 8 to Thursday, August 10, 2023, with discussions centered (theme) on: “Communications and e-Systems for Economic Stability (CeSES 2023)”

Reflecting on the importance of the Conference to Bauchi State, during a press conference on Wednesday, July 26 2023, Professor Adesina Sodiya, President of NCS, said:

The NCS International Conference is an annual event organized to bring together Information Technology industry icons, decision-makers, CEOs, government, academia, and other experts of the industry within and outside the country to brainstorm on current national and global developmental issues.

“With an average of 2000 yearly delegates, the International Conference has become the largest gathering of IT professionals in Africa. Over the years, NCS has been championing and promoting IT development in Nigeria through the International Conference.

“The International Conference also features exhibitions of various Information Technology products ranging from Software, Hardware, etc., that are of great benefit to both the government and the industry”, he said.

Continuing, Prof. Sodiya said that Bauchi State will stand to benefit specifically in the following areas:

  • The Conference will provide a platform for showcase the massive investment Bauchi State has invested in Information Technology.
  • The Conference will facilitate a sustainable collaboration between Bauchi State and Nigeria Computer Society
  • The Conference will attract investors, policy-makers to the State and a lot of sons and daughters of Bauchi State will be provided opportunity to join the fold of Nigeria Computer Society, a platform for greater achievements in the IT world.
  • The Conference holding in Bauchi State will create a lot of Information Technology awareness and also improve the Information Technology image of the State.
  • We are seeing a fully automated State in the future, where e-governance, e-commerce, e-documents, e-approval, e-knowledge, e-payment, etc will be the order of the day, thereby eliminating corruption and making the State first among equals..

The Call to action for attendees:

Policymakers within the government, business leaders, members of academia, professionals, and practitioners in Nigeria and the Diaspora will brainstorm on contemporary issues of relevance to national development and sustainability; development of the appropriate framework and setting goals for best practices.

Exhibitions of various Information Technology products ranging from Software, Hardware, etc. that are of great benefit to both the government and the industry, will be featured.

“It will also feature amongst others, sessions presentations, technical paper presentations, NCS Technology Innovation Show, annual Information Technology Competition for students in secondary schools and higher institutions in Nigeria and Induction of Professional Members of the Society.

“We therefore enjoin our members and the general public to attend the conference”, the NCS President said.
