Lagos State Chapter of the Nigeria Computer Society (NCS) has declared readiness for this year’s conference and awards holding this week.
Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode, executive Governor of Lagos State is the invited special guest of honour; Executive Director (Business Development) at Nigeria Inter-Bank Settlement System Plc (NIBSS, Mr. Niyi Ajao, is the guest of honour, while Chief Executive Officer, Dolphin Estate, Mr. James Etim Amana, shall chair the occasion.
The event scheduled for Wednesday, November 6, 2017 at the Lagos Digital Village, Alausa, will see Mr. Adeolu Okanlawon presenting the lead paper on “IT Disruption and Responsibility”.
Confirming the programme, Mr. Kunle Oladipupo, member, (National) Credential Committee, said that the conference’s theme, ‘Information Technology: Tool for Sustainable Development’, was inspired by the need to address multi-faceted challenges faced in the present-day society.
Oladipupo who doubles as Chairman, Events and Trade at the Lagos Chapter of NCS said,
“technology offers us leeway to finding lasting solution to many challenges faced by the society today, especially in job creation. So, the Lagos Chapter of NCS views this as another opportunity to brainstorm on this solutions that Government must be part of it”, he said.
The event will also feature, Don Etiebet Innovative Prize and Sidmach Prize and 2017 Golden Names Award.
