Jega to deliver keynote as StartConFest begins in Akwa Ibom State today

Mohammed Jega (@ibromomo), a technoprenuer and Business Development Manager Africa at Vogue Pay is scheduled to deliver the keynote speech as startups from around the country gather at ‘StartConFest’ in Uyo, Akwa Ibom to explore the latest in Technology, and Creative industries in the State.

The event with the theme “Future Bound”, which runs till June 15, 2018 at the Roothub/AKEES Plaza, will feature the celebration of all things incredible, magical, innovative, and entrepreneurial about the people and showcase the inherent opportunities in Akwa Ibom State.

‘StartConFest’ is part of efforts to position Akwa Ibom State as an innovation and technology destination in Nigeria and the choice of Jega as the keyote speakers was due to his passion and experience in the Startup ecosystem.

He co-founded Domineum.io, a blockchain platform for record management of land titles, geospatial information and real estate financials.

Jega is also founder of StartUp Arewa and Director at the Young CEO’s Business Forum.

These were made public during the unveiling of the hashtags foe the event #hellouyo #startconfest18 organised by The Roothub.

The organizers revealed that this year’s festival promises to be bumper packed with speakers lined up to address issues around technology, finance and success, arts and culture, health and wellness.

The group disclosed that participants would have the opportunities to connect directly with experts and learn how to utilize opportunities to increase productivity.

“Over the course of the festival, you have the opportunity to meet startups from different fields, learn new things, get certified, catch up on trends around the world, access startup opportunities and contribute to the creativity and entrepreneurship eco-system”, TheRootHub said.
