Opportunity to pitch at Startup Arewa Tech & Media Summit

Startup Arewa Development Initiative has invited startups to pitch their ideas at the 2018 Tech and Media Summit.

The President and Founder of Startup Arewa, Mohammad Ibrahim Jega, said in a statement available to TechEconomy.ng, that the Summit is aimed to bring key players- entrepreneurs in the technology and media- operating in Northern Nigeria under one roof to share experience and connect with each other in order to create an enabling and supportive environment for the startup ecosystem.

The Summit, which is first in a series, has as the theme:  Building a competitive ‘Technopreneur’ ecosystem in the Northern part of Nigeria.

The event is scheduled:

Date: September 18 Tuesday, 2018

Venue:  Conference Hall, Fraser Suit, Fraser Suites Abuja, Plot 294, Leventis Close, Central Business District, Abuja, Nigeria

Time: 10:00am prompt.

Startup Arewa Development Initiative is an NGO with focus on creating the largest Technology ecosystem in the country, with focus on creating a supportive environment for tech and media entrepreneurs operating in the North with funding, training, co-working spaces and mentorship.

“In an effort to achieve this we have been holding roundtables and have now decided to start a summit that will bring all the state chapters together in order to network, collaborate, share and learn from each other.

“At this summit we will deliberate on these issues below, we hope to have a very interactive and engaging session:

Why are we divided instead of Coopeting (Cooperating and Competing)?and Advice for Startups.

What’s next? How do we build a sustainable ecosystem and what is the role of media in promoting entrepreneurs in the north? Are committed to creating our growth fund?
