TYN-YES 2018 focuses on ‘Life Hacks’ to promote ICT training, other incentives

The 2018 edition of The Generation Next Youth Empowerment Summit (TGN-YES), has been fixed for Saturday, 27th October, at the Abuja Enterprise Agency training auditorium in Jahi District, Abuja.

The summit with theme, “Life Hacks”, is in its 4th edition having debuted in 2010.

In a statement, the Executive Director of Elbativeni Foundation, Ms Destiny Obiakoeze, explained that the summit is a project borne out of the need “to build capacity for the youths of Nigeria and the continent of Africa who are living in our contemporary and challenging times”.

It is geared at “engendering their development and upward advancement for a better country and continent.”

Attendance at the summit has been made free for all. However, premium attendees who would be entitled to a certificate of attendance and lucky dip freebies including six-month ICT training for 20 winners, 10 job opportunities, and support for business start-ups will get the option of a token processing fee.

Past editions of the summit featured prominent speakers including Mr Ini Akpabio, CEO of Nanet Group; Mr Frank Nweke jnr., former Information and Communication minister; Mr Sherrif Balogun, President, Nigerian-American Chamber of Commerce; Mr Tope Fasua, a current presidential aspirant and Mr Ugochukwu Umeogu, CEO, Joseph Consulting and Mentoring Ltd.

Recall that Project Loop Her, a free 6 months ICT training was offered to over 20 ladies to be trained in digital Marketing, web design, web app deveopement, graphics and entrepreneurship was launched at the last edition of TGNYES…2017.
