SAN debuts Global Techstars Startup Weekend in four Nigerian cities




Startup Africa Network (SAN) a startup community movement aimed at challenging the mindsets of African entrepreneurs, has announced its first multi-city Global TechStars Startup Weekend in Nigeria.

These activities have been slated to run from the weekend of November 9th to December 16th, 2018 in four cities in Nigeria, namely: Lagos, Abuja, Port- Harcourt and Akure

To date, The Global TechStars Startup Weekend has held 5,000 events in more than 150 countries around the world, and we are excited to be driving this innovation and embracing disruption of the norm here in Nigeria through this platform.

At Startup Africa Network “ we believe that great thinkers are unearthed in all shades, genders, and nationalities and we’ve made it our mission to find and empower people, whether they are across the world or overlooked in your own backyard. She further reiterated that we’re bringing the first tech for all solution to Nigeria by empowering young people to come-up with ideas from social, economic, environmental to financial problems in their community to proffer solutions leveraging technology in a space of 54 Hours.

In just 54 hours, participants will experience the highs, lows, and fun of building a company—all while working in an environment that helps you learn and succeed.

This is a global movement of entrepreneurs from around the world, and Techstars Global Startup Weekend through the Startup Africa Network will connect you locally with the very best mentors, co-founders, and sponsors, all of whom are ready to help you get started.
