“Our regulation at NITDA is to bring about Development in Nigeria’s IT Sector”, the Director General, National Information Technology Development Agency, NITDA, Dr Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami, has said reaffirmed.
Dr Pantami made this assertion during a meeting held with the Association of Outsourcing Professionals of Nigeria (AOPN), which took place at the Agency’s Corporate Head Office, Abuja.
The DG also stated that Nigeria is strategically placed to be the number 1 Outsourcing destination in Africa, considering her youthful population who are digital natives, the geographical location and the favourable government policies such as the executive orders 003 and 005.
In his remarks, leader of the Professional body, Mr Oyadairo Muyiwa, stated that the team was at NITDA to invite the Agency to its upcoming Outsourcing Expo, and also partner the Agency for effective regulation of the Outsourcing Sector.
Muyiwa revealed that the professional body sees NITDA as a strategic partner in implementing its Mandate.
… Ondo State seeks NITDA’s support on ICT development
Meanwhile, a delegation from the Ondo State Information Technology Agency, led by the State Special Adviser of the Agency, Mr Olumbe Akinkugbe, Tuesday paid an official visit to the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Corporate Head Office in Abuja, seeking to explore possible areas of collaboration to deepen the growth of ICT in the State.
The team was received by the management team of NITDA, led by its energetic Director General.
In his remarks, Dr Pantami commended the State for heeding to the advice of NITDA in establishing the State IT Agency, which will help in complimenting NITDA’s efforts in fostering the growth of ICT in Nigeria at the State level.
The DG also pledged the Agency’s full commitment and support to the growth of the Agency.
