MainOne, CSquared CEOs among speakers at Int’l Telecoms Week

The CEO of MainOne, Funke Opeke and Group CEO, CSquared, Lanre Kolade are among speakers expected to address the world today at the International Telecoms Week – ITW Africa Panel Session hosted by MainOne and Avanti happening.

Themed “Enabling Africa’s Digital Economy,” discussions will revolve around connectivity infrastructure, demand drivers/digital economy, subsea cable, satellites and market dynamics and more.

The line-up of speakers include:

  2. Artur Mendes – Sales & Marketing Director, Angola Cables
  3. Chris Wood – CEO, West Indian Ocean Cable Company (WIOCC)

Already, the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has sent a delegation led by the Executive Commissioner, Stakeholder Management, Mr. Sunday Dare.

The Head, Online Media and Special Publication at NCC, Omoniyi Ibietan, in a blog post about ITW writes, “The 12th edition of International Telecoms Week (first in Atlanta), the world’s largest wholesale telecoms event, just opened at the Atrium of Hyatt Regency and Marriott Marquis on Peachtree Street at the heart of Atlanta in the State of Georgia. Some 7000+ delegates from 135+ countries are attending the event featuring over 175 exhibitors and sponsors.

“One of the central issues of discourse is the future of messaging, especially in the context of the emergent Google’s RCS or a new Business Communication Services application.

“It’s interesting and somewhat unsettling the ICT ecosystem”.
