Introducing edutech platform mAdcademy

The Nigerian Tech Ecosystem has over the years experienced a number of life-changing products from the AgricTech, EduTech and the fast growing FinTech space.

mAcademy: An edutech platform

The Startup Arewa Hub comes yet a platform that seeks to address issues around education called mAcademy.

mAcademy is an Edtech product that offers quality affordable learning contents to individuals. It is also one of the successful products that has been deployed by MTN and is on the MTN mPulse platform as well.

Mrs. Hadiza Musa leads the team at mAcademy. An influential contributor who brings about wave of change in the Northern Nigeria technology ecosystem Mr. Mohammed Ibrahim Jega has also thrown his weight behind mAcademy.

Mr. Jega needs no introduction in the Northern Nigeria Tech Ecosystem, he is the founder of the Startup Arewa initiative, an Ecosystem which has been at the forefront of driving Northern tech innovation ecosystem since 2016 and also has an incubation hub in the capital city of Abuja, with a goal to inspire innovative tech solutions and collaboration among key players from the North.

When asked what to expect from Startup Arewa this year, he said: “The Startup Arewa hub has partnered with couple of firms doing exciting things in the tech space, a number of fascinating products are in store but a particular product that stands out is the mAcademy, which is led by Mrs. Musa”.

The Founder, Mrs. Musa said, “Currently we have partnered with the Hub and MTN mPulse to develop the entire primary and secondary school curriculum in animation and video formats”.

mAcademy, understands, will be released to the entire nation for free and “we believe will change the face of education”.

Commenting further, Jega said, “the platform has probably been the most successful EdTech platform both in terms of revenue and reach but the founders, especially Hadiza have been off the radar of great media and that’s why many don’t know about them.

“If you recall there was a talk by Dike Chukwumerije that has gone viral, many don’t know it was at the re-launch of mAcademy that it happened.

“This happens to be our number one priority for the year, getting this out for those that are economically disadvantaged to also have a chance to be educated.

“These lessons will be available for offline learning on the mAcademy app and we intend to make it accessible for free. We are working to disrupt learning in Nigeria for the better and we strongly encourage the government to support us in this mission”.

This is one product to lookout for as it’s set to revolutionize and build the learning culture among students in Nigeria.
