COVID-19: Fire Service embarks on sensitization public on safety

The Federal Fire Service on Wednesday 25th March 2020 commenced a mass sensitization of citizens on the need to be safety conscious.
This, the Service said, has become very necessary in view of the stay at home directives by the government to check the outbreak of Covid-19 Virus.
The Controller General, Dr. Liman Alhaji Ibrahim directed the mass sensitization so that citizens can be educated on the need to put in place fire safety measures and be more safety conscious knowing very well that there will more activities in our various homes which might result in fire outbreak if safety measures are not put in place.
The Controller General, has assured citizens that the Federal Fire Service, as an essential service provider, is ready and available in the event of emergencies.
Therefore the citizens should always call the emergency numbers (112, 08032003557) in the case of any emergency.
He also advised the general public, as a matter of their safety and that of others, to comply with all directives given by government and agencies managing the Covid-19 pandemic.
