Expresses readiness to work with InfraCos for deployment of 4G LTE
Enextgen Wireless, experts at enhancing available LTE mobile broadband to provide cost-effective broadband internet connectivity to private and public entities in Nigeria, has commended State Governors for adhering to the National Economic Council agreement by slashing the rates for broadband infrastructure deployment across the country.
The President, Enext Inc., Engineer Remi Adeyeye in a statement the Company made available to TechEconomy.ng, applauded the latest news in the country’s telecommunications industry which is the reduction of Right of Way (RoW) rates in some of the States of the federation (Ekiti, Kaduna, Imo, Katsina, Plateau, and Kwara).
“These steps,” he said “were taken in response to the request made by the Minister for Communications, Dr. Isa Pantami.
“The Honorable minister implored Governors to reduce the RoW rates in their states in a bid to enhance broadband connection in the country.
“The reduction in RoW rates is no doubt, a great step towards the enhancement of broadband connection in the country.
“Now we hope that this will encourage rapid laying of fiber cables and that the new fibers will be thoroughly tested to be sure that they carry expected data rates that support all public broadband communications needs”.
Engineer Adeyeye further told TechEconomy.ng that this will make it possible to expand the deployment of 4G LTE service to more states in order to increase access to mobile internet.
“We hope that other States will replicate the same hands of acceptance to reduce the cost of RoW. Enextgen wireless will welcome partnership with the Infracos to test signal loss and other aspects of network deployment and assurance”, he added.
