Covid-19: 9mobile assures subscribers of continued supports

9Mobile is an organisation that supports and cares for its customers and their needs, says the Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Alan Sinfield.

Mr. Sinfield was speaking during the media launch of 9mobile national Mega Million Promo on Tuesday, August 18, 2020.

Recall, TechEconomy.ng has reported that Sinfield took over as the CEO of 9mobile in June.

Overview of the year 2020

The 9Mobile CEO, said that the year 2020 took off on a challenging note with the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak, which has dramatically changed the world within a short period.

“We probably have on our hands the biggest crisis of all time since World War 2, and billions of people are having to adapt to a new world, a new way of working, a new way of living, a new way of communicating and even a new way of holding a press conference.

To this end, he said, “9mobile is an organization that supports and cares for its customers and their needs.

“At the beginning of the year, we introduced exciting new data plans and revamped the existing ones to enable customers on our network to enjoy more value for their money.

“In the wake of the lockdown, we reinvigorated our online and virtual channels to ensure customers on our network have round the clock access to airtime and data.

“This move was one of the initiatives designed to help customers cope with the disruptions occasioned by the COVID-19 pandemic and a demonstration of support for the efforts to contain the spread of the disease and keep them connected to their loved ones.

“We partnered with Mobihealth international, an award-winning telemedicine provider, to launch a FREE COVID-19 online screening and Teleconsultation service for all Nigerians.

“We granted free access to health and educational websites to our customers to mitigate the impact of the lockdown and restricted movements during the country’s COVID-19 lockdown situation.

“We also zero-rated access to the website of the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) and provided up to date information on COVID-19 on our network

“9mobile also presented over 600 lines and free data access to the NCDC.

“We recently crashed local and international call rates through the re-launch of our Morelife Complete package.

Introducing the 9mobile Mega Million Promo

Speaking on the 9Mobile Mega Million Promo, he said, “We have listened carefully to our customers, and we understand the challenges they face, so we have designed the 9mobile Mega Million Promo to give back to Nigerians in these challenging times”.
