Barely 24 hours after the #EndSARS protests degenerated into violence, resulting to reportedly, deaths and injuries on the side of the protesters in Lekki toll gate, Lagos state, Nigeria’s Naira has dropped marginally against the United States’ dollar as the exchange rate as at today, Wednesday, October 21, stands at ₦463 US$1 in the parallel market.

Meanwhile, the exchange rate on Tuesday, October 20, closed at ₦462/US$1 in the parallel market.

NairaWatch can report that Naira has appreciated against British pound sterling as the exchange rate as at today, Wednesday, October 21, stands at ₦592/₤1 and also closed at ₦596/₤1 on Monday, October 19.

The local currency has remained stable against European euro as the exchange rate as at today, Wednesday, October 21, stands at ₦540/€1 and also closed at ₦540€1 on Tuesday, October 20.
