Primero Transport Services Limited, the operators of Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) in Lagos State, Nigeria, have suspends operations on one of the major routes.
The Company in a tweet announced the suspension of operations on Ikorodu-TBS route due to the ongoing protests against police brutality dubbed #ENDSARS.
The statement on its Facebook page reads:
“Following the ongoing protest in Lagos State and other parts of the country, Primero Transport Services Limited has suspended operations on Ikorodu to TBS corridor for this weekend- Saturday, 17 October and Sunday, 18 October 2020.
“The protest which has impacted the operations of the company in the last one week is on a three-day marathon stage this weekend. We will continue to monitor the situation and start operations as soon as the road is clear.
“We call on our esteemed commuters to bear with us during this period. Our priority is to convey commuters safely to their destinations every day, providing fast, affordable and convenient services to Lagosians 24/7 every week”.
