Why MTN subscribers in Lekki, Oniru and VI experience service challenge

MTN Nigerian has reportedly lost the power supply at its hub site along Lekki axis of Lagos State (Nigeria) as #ENDSARS protests continue.
The teleco in a statement explained that the development was due to loss of auxiliary power supply at a hub in the area.
The statement, however, ensured that its engineers are currently working issue. TechEconomy.ng gathered that this incident occurred on Tuesday, October 20, 2020.
Recall that the #ENDSARS protests became blooded in the late hours of Tuesday when soldiers opened fire on protesters at the Lekki toll gate, killing about seven people.
Although the Nigeria Army later denied the report via its official Twitter handle, tagging various reports of the scene by online newspapers as fake news.
Earlier, the Lagos state government had imposed a 24-hour curfew on the state effective from 4 pm.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu disclosed this in a statement while lamenting that the protests against police brutality and extrajudicial killings had morphed into violence.
