Nigeria’s active mobile telephony reduces by over 3 million in December 2020

The total number of active mobile telephony subscriptions in Nigeria: 204,601,313 as at December 2020, according to statistics released by the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC).

Active Internet Subscription

Nigeria’s active Internet subscriptions stood at 154,301,195 as at December 2020.

The figure is lower than 154,878,203 recorded in November 2020. also gathered that GSM accounts for 153,873,786; fixed wired: 11,468 and VoIP: 415,941.

Broadband Penetration

Also, during the period under review, Nigeria’s broadband penetration slowed by 0.058.

But, the country’s Year-on-Year (YoY) broadband penetration between December 2019 (30.80%) and December 2020 (45.02%) stands at 7.22%.
