The Primero Transport Services Ltd., operator of the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT), has informed Lagosians of its plan to suspend operations of the Ikorodu to Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS) route from today Wednesday, March 31.
The transport company noted that its decision is due to operational challenges being encountered by the firm along that axis.
This was contained in a statement issued by Primero Transport Services and signed by its Head, Corporate Communications, Mutiu Yekeem, via its official Twitter handle.
The statement read: ‘’Notice: We use this medium to apologize to all our esteemed commuters on the Ikorodu-TBS corridor. We are shutting down operations from tomorrow 31st March 2021, on the route due to operational issues.
“We hope to resolve it in the next couple of days and resume full operations. We call on our esteemed commuters to bear with us during this period. We sincerely crave your indulgence for any inconvenience this may have caused you.
“Our priority is to convey commuters safely to their destinations, provide affordable, fast and convenient services to people of Lagos 24/7 daily.”

Recently, Techeconomy.ng reported that the operators of the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT), Primero Transport Services Ltd, had declared that all payments to board buses will be via cards.
Primero Transport, in a Facebook post, said from today, Monday, February 1 2021, Cowry cards will be the only mode of fare payment.
According to the transport company, “As directed by the Lagos State government, all payments to board Primero buses will be via cards.
“From Monday, February 1 2021, Cowry cards will be the only mode of fare payment. Commuters are reminded to purchase Cowry cards to ensure seamless boarding of Primero buses. Cowry cards are available at bus shelters close to you.”
