FAAN MD Yadudu appointed member World Governing Board of ACI

The Managing Director of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Captain Rabiu Hamisu Yadudu has been appointed a member of the World Governing Council of Airports Council International (ACI).

ACI is the only global trade representative of the world’s airports. Established in 1991, ACI represents airports interests with Governments and international organizations such as ICAO, develops standards, policies and recommended practices for airports, and provides information and training opportunities to raise standards around the world.

He, alongside two others, Mr Emanuel Chavez of Aeroportos de Mozambique (President) from Mozambique and Mr. Dewananda Chellen of Airports of Mauritius Co. Ltd (Member) from Mauritius were appointed as representatives of Africa on the Board.

The appointment takes immediate effect.

Background:

Yadudu was appointed the Managing Director of FAAN in May 2019.

His appointment was conveyed through a letter, referenced FMA/PSAPPT/CEO/014/VOL.I/3 and dated May 20, 2019 from the Federal Ministry of Transportation.

An ICAO/ACI accredited International Airport Professional, Capt. Yadudu holds professional certifications in Avionics, Airport Safety Management Systems, Airport Security Management, Air Transport Systems Management, amongst others.
