The latest NIWBQR focuses on Abuja
Enextgen Wireless has again demonstrated why its service – National Independent Wireless Broadband Quality Reporting (NIWBQR) – is important in the telecommunication industry in Nigeria.
The Company, earlier this month conducted quality reporting assessment showing the quality of LTE deployed by major telecommunication companies – MTN, Airtel, Globacom and 9mobile.
In the report made available to TechEconomy.ng, Enextgen Wireless explained that its current wireless broadband quality reporting service focuses on the quality of engineering and RF(radio frequency) deployment of mobile broadband networks (currently LTE) in Nigeria.
According to the statement, the President/Chief Executive Officer, Engineer Remi Adeyeye, reiterated that the report (NIWBQR) is not geared towards addressing application layer performance.
NIWBQR is offered by Enextgen Wireless, Ltd since 2016 and was designed to encourage Mobile Network Operators to provide high quality of Radio Frequency coverage for optimum utilization of available spectrum and excellent customer experience.
“Previously based on commercial UE logging and post-processing tools, now using Enextlog for input data and Emetrics for processing and visualization
“It now focuses on a combination of our proprietary RF quality ranking (Emetrics) and measurements of results from key applications such as ping and FTP transfers”, Adeyeye said.
In this report, 50% of the weight for overall ranking is assigned to Emetrics, 20% each is assigned to downlink throughput and packet latency, while 10% is assigned to uplink throughput
Report in details:
Enextlog Measured Values
56-byte Packet Latency Ranking
Downlink Throughput Ranking
Uplink Throughput Ranking
