The #StartupSouth enables the prosperity of a generation of young founders building innovative and high scale ventures in Nigeria’s frontier cities. Built on the fact that entrepreneurship is essential for development, the organisation stands firm to help these startups scale.

The SSE Angel Network provides mentorship, support and investment for startup founders. The target is to build innovative businesses that provide jobs, opportunities and contribute to the prosperity and development of the country.

Both the #StartupSouth and the SSE Angel Network are especially focused on startups in the South-East and South-South regions of Nigeria.

During the StartupSouth6 International Press Conference, Owen Shedrack, lead at #StartupSouth6 Bootcamp said:

For the last seven years, #StartupSouth has consistently pushed for a more democratised tech and innovation ecosystem where founders, especially within the South-East/South-South regions, can access fundings and support thereby giving investors more deals. We are excited to open the call for the StartupBootCamp by #StartupSouth.

Benefits

  • $30,000 equity pool from SSE Angel Network will be awarded to the top five teams

  • The startup teams will undergo a two weeks tailored capacity development programme while receiving support to revalidate their business model, prepare for pitching and linkages with potential investors at a Deal Day Session during #StartupSouth6 in Enugu

Eligibility
