Recently, the City of Onitsha witnessed a mega event, a business summit hosted by Ultimate Destiny Uplifters Foundation (UDUF).
With a vision to become a sought after organisation that would inspire a responsible lifestyle among the youths, non-profit organisation (NGO), UDUF sees the need to change the narratives of business operations, especially among the youths of the contemporary world, equipping them with the necessary and relevant information required to surmount the ever dynamic business world to their success.
Themed “Business Repositioning for a New Global Economy“, the event was attended by hundreds of youths from different fields and works of life, with the hunger for knowledge and direction in business.
The event commenced with an opening address by the founding president, in the person of Mr Smart Chinedu Ezuma, PhD.
While giving his address, he said the event was meant to bring together renowned Business Leaders, Government Agencies, Financial Agencies, Young Business Owners, Entrepreneurship Students and Unemployed Youths, so they can explore the challenges faced by today’s young entrepreneurs and identify practical promising approaches to address their need.
The speech was immediately followed by a Keynote address by Prof. Olusegun Sogbesan, PhD. (DG Onitsha Business School)
Centered on the theme “Business Repositioning for a New Global Economy”, Prof. Olusegun emphasised that we are in an era where information drives the economy and encouraged the youths to first seek relevant information and knowledge on how to apply them to their businesses.
Also present at the summit was the representatives of some Government agencies, who came to equip the youths with information on certain things that bother on the business relationship between the youths and the government, cum legality and how to amass numerous opportunities doled out by the Government to support and enhance businesses in Nigeria.

A commendable success story session to inspire and keep the young CEOs informed, included thriving entrepreneurs and business youths within the confinement of the programme. They were;

2. Mr Omenwa Arinze; CEO, Naira Rice
3. Destiny Obuoma; CEO, DX Photo Studio and
4. Mrs Ego. V. Okonkwo; founder, Victory International Model School
The summit was as promising as portrayed and left the young CEOs amazed at the level of exposure and value provided by these Guest speakers.
UDUF as an organisation seeks to work with individuals and other organisations that share similar visions and values in reaching out to the youths and inspiring them positively.
The organisation accepts voluntary members who wish to be part of the change-making. These volunteers will be subjected to training and test exercise organised by the Director, Training and Empowerment of UDUF, in the person of Mrs Onunwuamaegbu Amarachi.
The course is aimed at enlightening them on what volunteerism is all about and why one should volunteer in the service of society.
They will be made to understand what UDUF stands for, its aim, objectives and vision. After which there will be an oath of induction in the presence of UDUF board members.
UDUF holds its meeting every second Saturday of each month at No 19 Regina Nwankwu Avenue GRA Onitsha. (Onitsha Business School).
