South East Chambers of Commerce’ 2021 investment summit begins tomorrow



Eastern-Nigeria Investment Summit

Joining hands with innovative minds developing solutions to solve the economic challenges, which is becoming of great concern to all well-meaning individuals, faced in Nigeria is the South East Chambers of Commerce.

The South East Chambers of Commerce is the umbrella body of the 12 City Chambers in the Southeast region, stepping up as one of the geographic zones ensuring Nigeria attains resilience and sustainability, hence, the Eastern Nigeria Investment Summit 2021 (ENIS).

Standing as an accelerator to the re-engineering of investment priorities within and outside the Southeast region, the Investment Summit is themed “Challenges of Rediscovering Nigeria as an Economic Giant: The Role of the South East”.

The two-day Summit is scheduled to hold on Tuesday, October 5, 2021, and on Wednesday, October 6, 2021, with the distinguished Senator Anyim Pius Anyim, GCON, as keynote speaker.

Other speakers include Prof. Chinedu Nebo, Prof. Osita Ogbu, OON, Prof. Greg Ibeh, V. Rev. Fr. Prof. Christian Anieke, Mr. David Etim and Mr Kingsley Eze.

Rev. Surv. Ugo Chime will be chairman of session and lead discussant on the 1st day while Chief Ncheta Omerekpe shall be Chairman of session and lead discussant on the 2nd day.

The discussants will be made up of the speakers and other carefully selected stakeholders who are guaranteed to do justice to the topics.

The programme also consists of sub-themes listed with speakers for each below:

  • Analysis of SMEs in Economic recovery: The South East position –  Prof. Greg Ibe

  • The need for Industrial Park & Free Trade Zones in Economic Recovery: Options for the South East – Prof. Osita Ogbu, OON.

  • Harnessing the Energy of Igbo culture in total Economic Recovery: A Compatibility test with current education structure – V. Rev. Fr. Prof. Christian Anieke

  • The South East going forward: The Challenge of Adapting to Technology & ICT – Mr Kingsley Eze

  • “Ikeotuonye” against “Igwebuike”: the South East experience – Prof. Chinedu Nebo
