The Idea for FairShop came in March when one of the founders, Michael Akujimba was trying to get his phone sold for instant cash, he posted a photo of the phone online with the hope to get a quick buyer.

Eventually, he waited for days without getting someone to buy at a reasonable price.

Within the period, Akujimba was struck with the idea of the process being a lot easier if there was a platform that offers instant cash for sales of phones.

He discussed this with his friends; Winner Akako, Olanrewaju Olasupo and Tijani Rasheed and together, they brought the idea into reality by launching FairShop in March, 2021.

FairShop is an e-commerce platform that offers the selling and buying of fairly-used gadgets at affordable rates. The company, which does not deal in stolen and faulty gadgets, has been able to make a revenue of over N14 million within the first seven months of operation.

Few months down the line, FairShop has been able to stand strong as one of the leading e-commerce platforms in the country, offering instant cash for the sales of fairly used gadgets.

According to a statement by Winner Akako, co-founder at FairShop, one of the reasons for creating the brand is to allow a vast majority of people have access to the latest gadgets at affordable prices;

Apart from offering instant cash for gadgets, we are also using FairShop to get quality and trendy gadgets across to as many people as possible at affordable prices.”

The CEO and co-founder, Akujimba also added that FairShop is working towards becoming the number one home for the buying and selling of fairly-used gadgets in Nigeria.
