At the groundbreaking November edition of the Stakeholder Sensitization Webinar series on the National Policy for 2nd Level Domains (2NLD.ng), stakeholders were immersed in a comprehensive presentation on the roadmap of setting up a website from start to finish.

Representing the Director General NITDA, Mr. Benard Ewa, Acting Director, E-Government Development and Regulations,  underscored the organization’s unwavering commitment to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, an agenda which aims to strengthen processes and accelerate the transformation of delivery points to digital, ensuring inclusivity for all.

Speaking on the Roadmap for Website setup, Rev. Folayan Micheal Olusegun, Manager of Government Websites and Domain at NITDA, took stakeholders through a detailed journey on setting up a website from start to finish.

From defining purpose to choosing domain names, domain registration, content structure, design and development of the website, optimization and security implementation, to actual launch and promotion of the website, each step was demystified.

Stakeholders were urged to recognize websites as digital ambassadors, reflecting the best features of products and organizations with benefits ranging from round-the-clock service availability to streamlined operations for retirees and businesses, irrespective of time zones.

The webinar facilitated interactive sessions that allowed participants to share experiences, ask questions, and seek clarifications on the various steps for setting up a website for their organizations and parastatals.

No doubt the overarching goal of the training aligns with Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s push for digital excellence in Anambra State, a goal which the Anambra State ICT Agency is fast running with to ensure its full realization.
