The Economic Community of West African States, (ECOWAS), has presented Chukwuka Onwubolu with the prestigious Nelson Mandela Leadership Award of Excellence and Integrity, as ‘Cloud Security Innovator of the Year’, on May 7, 2022.
Announced in an official letter from the West African Youth Council, the award is in recognition of Onwubolu’s laudable dedication, hard work, and diligence in service to humanity, particularly as a cloud security innovator.
According to Williams Seun, chairman of ECOWAS Youth Council, the Youth Council created the leadership award to honour youths who have distinguished themselves in various capacities and professions in the region.
He added that the Council deemed it fit to decorate Chukwuka Onwubolu with the honour of the EYC Nelson Mandela Leadership Award of Excellence and Integrity, in lieu of his great contribution towards cloud security and cloud computing in West Africa.
“We also commend your passion for youth and social development, training of young tech talents and mentorship”, Seun said.
Cheerful Onwubolu, thanked the EYC for the recognition. He described the honour as a morale booster for him and promised the ECOWAS Youth Council to be a worthy ambassador at all levels, both in the local and international community.
