Prodigy Finance, an international education financing platform, has announced the opening of its Fall 2025 scholarship with four awards of $20,000.
These scholarships primarily focus on supporting African students pursuing higher education. The scholarships will help talented individuals from Prodigy Finance-supported regions achieve their academic and professional goals.
The Fall 2025 scholarship competition includes three exclusive awards:
- The Allan Gray African Student Scholarship: Two prizes of $5,000 each for African students attending any Prodigy-supported school.
- The University of Louisville – College of Business African Student Matching Scholarship: One prize of $5,000 for African students enrolled in the University of Louisville College of Business.
- Indiana University – Maurer School of Law Student Matching Scholarship: One prize of $5,000 for African students attending the Maurer School of Law.
Students can apply for a scholarship at any stage of their loan process. The scholarship amount can be used to cover tuition fees, living expenses, or other costs related to their studies.

The application opened on March 14, 2025, and closes on April 14, 2025. Students must apply during this period. However, to be considered eligible, students must:
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Have the legal right to be resident and study in one of the Prodigy-supported host countries.
- Be enrolled or accepted to start a program in Fall 2025 at an academic institution that Prodigy Finance supports at the time the scholarship recipient is chosen.
- Students must be from the African region to be eligible for this scholarship programme.
The review period will be from April 15 to May 1, 2025. The recipients of these scholarship awards will be selected based on their application and the assessment of their answers to entry essay questions. Winners will be announced on May 2, 2025.
