MTN GO MAD 4 with Kanye, 15-Year-Old Autistic Painter

L-r: Joseph Ogbuka, Manager, Go-To-Market, MTN Nigeria; Kanyeyachukwu Tagbo-Okeke, Teen artist and Guinness World Record holder; Chidinma Asomugha, Manager, Master Brand, MTN Nigeria and Dr. Silvia Tagbo-Okeke, IT consultant and Autism Advocate at the unveiling of the Guinness World Record for 'largest painting on a canvas by an individual' on Wednesday April 2nd 2025 held at the Eagle Square, Abuja.

In a stunning display of Making A Difference, 15-year-old Kanyeyachukwu Tagbo-Okeke, affectionately known as Kanye, made history by creating the world’s largest art canvas.

The young Nigerian artist, who lives with autism, successfully broke the Guinness World Record, embodying MTN‘s recent “Go M.A.D” campaign spirit.

This was marked by a closing ceremony held on April 2 at the Eagle Square, Abuja.

Kanye’s monumental artwork, measuring an astounding 12,303.87 square meters, shattered the previous record.

This remarkable achievement not only showcases his extraordinary talent but also serves as a powerful testament to the limitless possibilities that can be unlocked when individuals are empowered to make a difference.

The young prodigy’s journey to this historic feat began in November 2024, when he launched his attempt to create the world’s largest art canvas.

Supported by the Zeebah Foundation, a non-profit organization which aims to provide resources for autistic individuals and their families,  and other organisations, Kanye worked tirelessly on his masterpiece, aptly titled “Impossibility is a Myth” – a sentiment that resonates deeply with MTN’s campaign to inspire Nigerians to take bold steps and create positive impacts in their communities.

Kanye’s father, Tagbo Okeke, emphasised that the record attempt goes beyond personal achievement. The project aims to raise awareness about autism and challenge societal perceptions of ability, while also raising funds for the construction of a state-of-the-art Autism Resource Centre in Abuja.

This aligns with MTN’s vision of empowering Nigerians to rise above challenges and create something extraordinary.

Throughout the project, Kanye demonstrated remarkable dedication and skill, personally handling all brushwork on the canvas. His team assisted only in tasks such as mixing paints to ensure his comfort during the creative process, showcasing the power of collaboration in making a difference.

As Kanye’s inspiring story continues to captivate audiences worldwide, it serves as a powerful reminder of MTN’s “Go M.A.D” campaign message: with determination, support, and the right tools, individuals can achieve extraordinary feats and create meaningful change in their communities.

Kanye’s record-breaking canvas stands as a testament to the boundless potential of human creativity and the importance of fostering inclusive environments for all artists.

In the spirit of MTN’s “Go M.A.D” initiative, Kanye’s achievement highlights how small, deliberate moves can lead to extraordinary outcomes, inspiring others to take action and make a difference in their own unique ways.
