Key highlights

  • ZTE and robot manufacturers including DroidUp, AgiBot, and TLIBOT, completed the industry’s first demonstration of a cross-brand robot group intelligence collaboration scenario
  • ZTE is advancing the application of 5G-A technology to enable general embodied intelligence, accelerating the transition of the “Intelligent Connection, Connected Intelligence” vision into widespread reality

ZTE Corporation, a global leading provider of integrated information and communication technology solutions, has showcased its Infinity Wireles Lab’s collaboration with robot manufacturers including DroidUp, AgiBot, and TLIBOT at MWC Shanghai 2025, completing the industry’s first demonstration of a cross-brand robot group intelligence collaboration scenario.

Focused on the smart retail sector, this demonstration highlights seamless collaboration among heterogeneous robots: AgiBot’s robot serves as a front-desk assistant, enabling fluid human-robot interaction and efficient order processing; DroidUp’s robot functions as a back-end logistics unit, executing precise goods picking and transportation; TLIBOT’s robot is deployed at the entrance, tasked with greeting visitors and driving foot traffic.

As the first technical platform supporting cross-brand robot collaboration, ZTE has overcome three core challenges:

Unified Communication Bus among Heterogeneous Compatibility Systems

By adopting standardized communication interfaces and a centralized scheduling mechanism, ZTE encapsulates hardware, development language, and functional disparities, offering unified communication semantics to external systems.

This approach fundamentally resolves the compatibility fragmentation issues prevalent in traditional development frameworks, breaking through collaboration and integration barriers caused by OS differences, inconsistent parameter standards, and diverse resource requirements across brands.

Shared Command Platform for Dynamic Compute-Network Orchestration

This heterogeneous integration platform enables adaptive end-edge-cloud compute orchestration based on robot-specific computing power: For low-compute robots, it employs an end-edge-cloud collaboration architecture, with edge nodes running trajectory planning models and the cloud hosting general large models; For high-compute robots, it adopts an end-cloud architecture, where the robot’s physical body hosts motion control modules and connects directly to the cloud for intelligent instructions.

This system effectively addresses the differentiated compute and network requirements of low/high-compute robots for end-edge-cloud/end-cloud collaboration, enabling precise intelligence empowerment.

High-Reliability Wireless Connectivity for Multi-Agent Collaborative Operations

Leveraging 5G-A technologies, the solution delivers single-channel uplink bandwidth exceeding 100 Mbps, deterministic latency ≤10 ms, and ultra-high reliability at 99.99%.

This enables parallel transmission of multi-channel HD data and smooth feedback for high-frequency actions.

This empowers the unified cloud “brain” for precise decision-making and edge “cerebellum” for real-time trajectory planning, effectively addressing the high-reliability and human-like interaction demands of multi-robot intelligent collaboration.

Currently, ZTE is actively exploring the development path of general embodied intelligence in the AI era, committed to advancing the “Intelligent Connection, Connected Intelligence” ecosystem from concept to large-scale implementation.
