Airtel 5G launch in Lagos

Airtel has officially unveiled its fifth generation (5G) service in Nigeria.

Speaking during the media launch held at Eko Hotel and Suit, Lagos, today, Carl Cruz, the Chief Executive Officer of Airtel Nigeria promised that the network will democratize 5G service offerings in Nigeria.

With Airtel’s 5G launch, Nigeria now has three licensees that have launched the service.

While MTN was the first to roll out, Mafab (MCom) has yet to roll out 5G services since its January launch.

However, Airtel is promising its subscribers will enjoy super-fast data services and redefined services in other sectors of the economy including telemedicine, agric, and others.
