Human Resources Manager (HRM)

Role Summary:

This role is based in Lagos and our ideal candidate should have excellent communication, organization and management abilities, including the ability to work and function in a multicultural environment and should have experience working in the media industry to join the local team and provide intuitive and excellent leadership for the HR department. You will be fit for this role if you can evaluate and analyze complex information and you have a natural desire to organize and manage people; and if you can take charge of coordinating an organization’s administration system and general workflows, supervising staff, facilitating communication throughout a company and developing procedures to make a workplace more efficient.



• Manage the staffing process, including recruiting, interviewing, hiring and onboarding • Ensure job descriptions are up to date and compliant with all local, state and federal regulations • Develop training materials and performance management programs to help ensure employees understand their job responsibilities • Create a compensation strategy for all employees based on market research and pay surveys; keeps the strategy up to date .

• Investigate employee issues and conflicts and bring them to resolution • Ensure the organization’s compliance with local, state and federal regulations • Use performance management tools to provide guidance and feedback to the team • Ensure all company HR policies are applied consistently • Maintain company organization charts and employee directory • Partner with management to ensure strategic HR goals are aligned with business initiatives • Maintain HR systems and processes • Conduct performance and salary reviews • Provide support and guidance to HR staff • Analyze trends in compensation and benefits • Design and implement employee retention strategies

  • Leadership: The HR Manager will lead a team of HR professionals, so strong leadership skills are essential for managing and motivating staff.
  • Communication: Effective communication is critical, as the HR Manager needs to convey information clearly, listen actively, and interact with employees, management, and external stakeholders.
  • Conflict Resolution: The HR Manager must be skilled in resolving workplace conflicts and disputes, often acting as mediators between employees or between employees and management.
  • Manpower planning: Analyzing the current manpower inventory, making future manpower forecasts, developing employment and training programmes. A solid understanding of hiring practices and talent acquisition, talent and performance management is necessary. The HR Manager is responsible for hiring the right people for our organization.
  • Employee Relations: Managing employee relations, including handling grievances, conducting investigations, and promoting a positive work environment, is a key responsibility.
  • Legal Compliance: Knowledge of labour laws and regulations is crucial to ensure the organization complies with local, state, and federal laws and regulations.

  • Performance Management: The HR Manager is responsible for designing and implementing our performance management systems, including performance appraisals, feedback, and goal setting.
  • Training and Development: Identifying training needs and designing programs for employee development is important for enhancing workforce skills and productivity.
  • Compensation and Benefits: Understanding compensation structures and benefits administration, including health insurance and retirement plans, is critical to attract and retain top talent.
  • Change Management: Our HR Manager will play a role in managing organizational change, helping employees adapt to new processes and structures.
  • Data Analysis: The HR Manager should possess analytical skills to make data-driven decisions, track key metrics, and assess the impact of HR initiatives.
  • Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with HR software and technology tools for payroll, and recruitment is essential.
  • Problem Solving: The HR Manager needs to be adept at solving complex problems, both in day-to-day HR operations and in addressing broader organizational challenges.

Other Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or higher academic degree in human resources, business, or a related field

  • 3-5 years’ experience in a HR Managerial position within an organisation with a large workforce

  • Experience in a Media institution

  • Strong HR Experience.

  • HR Knowledge: A thorough knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices is essential to ensure legal compliance and effective HR management.

Digital Marketing Specialist

We are looking to engage an enthusiast, energetic and knowledgeable digital marketing specialist.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for growing revenue through digital media by designing and executing marketing campaigns.

The selected applicant will be responsible for helping maintain Techeconomy brand by working on marketing campaigns.

Their duties include performing market research, strategizing and creating content to aid in the success of marketing campaigns.

This role is about planning, implementing, and monitoring our digital marketing campaigns across all digital networks to generate quality leads.

Job Description

  • Plan and execute all digital marketing, including SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media and display advertising campaigns.
  • Write and Manage Email marketing campaigns and automation
  • Post, Growth and Manage Social MediaChannels (This also includes Google Business Profile, Push Notification)
  • Run effective adverts across Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google Ads and other ad platforms.
  • Build high-converting landing pages for lead generation.
  • Write and Optimise Blog Post to Rank on Google (Including edit, proofread and improve content).
  • Design Marketing and Advertising Contents and Copies that drive engagement and conversion (Create content and design assets to launch the highest quality campaigns).
  • Measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns, and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs). • Identify the latest trends and technologies affecting our industry.
  • Work with the team to brainstorm new and innovative growth strategies.
  • Optimize content considering SEO and Google Analytics, Analyze web traffic metrics • Receive customer feedback and generate ideas to increase customer engagement
  • Other duties as required by the team lead or management.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelors in Mass Communication, Public Relations, and other related Courses
  • Minimum of 2 years and above hands-on experience in digital marketing
  • An expert and should have hands - on experience in Digital Marketing Strategy, Planning, Search Engine Optimisation, Content Marketing, Website Development, Social Media Marketing, Paid Search Advertising, Mobile Marketing, Display Advertising, Email Marketing, Google Advertising

We are open to a Financial Reporter with solid writing skills joining our team. The right candidate must be familiar with finance, investment field; proactive & able to work independently. This position requires an organized individual and capable to write original contents.
