Mint Companies

According to a circular issued by the Director of the Banking Services Department, Sam Okojere, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has approved four local firms to print cheques in the country.

The approved firms are Superflux International Limited, Tripple Gee and Company, Yaliam Press Limited, and Marvelous Mike Press. These companies have been accredited and approved as printers and personalizers of cheques.

The CBN, in collaboration with the MICR Technical Implementation Committee, conducted a re-accreditation process for Cheques Printers and Cheque Personalizers in line with the NICPAS (Nigeria Cheque Printers Accreditation Scheme) qualification criteria.

The list of accredited printers and personalizers was updated as of May 4, 2023, with the firms mentioned above.

Additionally, the circular stated that seven banks have been approved as personalizers of cheques. These banks are Zenith Bank Plc, Ecobank Plc, Stanbic IBTC Bank Plc, First Bank Ltd, Keystone Bank Ltd, Wema Bank Plc, and Providus Bank Ltd.
