DGCL Digital Cloud Academy, a UK-based certification provider has extended its Information Technology (IT) training to Nigeria to help people transition into tech even without an IT background.

The initiative aims to equip participants with essential digital skills by providing training on cloud computing, AWS  cloud practitioner training, AWS Solutions architect training, DevOps and Cyber Security Training.

It is designed for those looking to transition into tech and those looking to improve their existing IT skills.

Commenting on the impact the training intend to achieve, Paschal Njoku, founder DGCL Academy stated:

“The reason behind this is to bring technology back home, which is the drive that made us bring this platform all the way from London to Nigeria.

“Our target is to help people who want to transition into tech without any tech background, because at the end of the day people are scared, not sure of what to do, and stuck at jobs they are not happy with because of fear of the unknown. With this, they can do some training, they don’t have to go to a university to get a computer science degree, put their CV together and get a job.”

The training helps guide people unsure of which tech path is right for them, eradicating the barrier to entry. It is designed to accommodate individual time, providing opportunity for participants to learn at a flexible time.

Participants will gain hands-on experience, mentorship opportunities and online learning from experts in the technology field.

In addition to providing training, DGCL guides students to ensure they gain employment after training through CV writing, interview preparation with personalized feedback from Career consultants, and job offer support.

Tech is one of the highest-paying industries. By participating in the training, participants position themselves to benefit from opportunities in the tech ecosystem.

With knowledge of cloud computing, there are various job opportunities, including working as an AWS security solutions architect, AWS Database solutions architect, cloud architect, cloud engineer, cloud developer, DevOps engineer, and Cloud support engineer.

Job roles in Cyber Security include Cybersecurity analyst, Security engineer, security architect, and other high-paying job roles. Transitioning into tech not only offers good salaries but also opportunities for long-term career growth.
