The Nigeria Association of Computing Students Southwest Zone (NACOS SOUTHWEST) will be hosting a zonal conference programme themed ‘Emerging Digital Technology & Innovation (EDIT 23”)’ Conference at Lead City University.

With a focus on industries and students, EDIT 23” aims to bring together delegates, representatives from Tech companies, body members, and non-members to discuss and explore the latest advancements in digital technology and innovation, providing a platform for emerging trends to be discussed, shared and debated, while ensuring harmony among students and other bodies.

This is an opportunity for stakeholders to stay ahead of the curve and be at the forefront of the latest developments. Emphasis being placed on the future of the industry and the implications for business and society, the event will bring together different voices to discuss the successes and challenges.

EDIT 23” will provide a comprehensive overview of the digital landscape, and will include a range of speakers and panel discussions on various topics. These speakers include Iyinoluwa Aboyeji, Co-Founder, Flutterwave; Mitchell Elegbe, Founder, Interswitch; Olusola Ayoola (Robotics & Artificial Intelligence Nigeria (RAIN FOUNDER); Aituaz Kola-Oladejo, Executive Director FSI; Adewale Yusuf (Hack-Sultan) – Founder Alt School; and Adeyemi Aderinto, Founder, SQI.

While exploring the potential of emerging technology and the opportunities it presents for various businesses, highlights of EDIT 23” comprise Tech Talk, Career Advancement Programmes, Workshops on Startup creation, Technology Competition, Dinner/Award Ceremony and Sports.

Together, these industry professionals, academics, and thought-leaders are set to ensure EDIT 23”:

  • Bridges the divide between the large number of industries and tertiary institutions in view of producing graduate that will solve real life problems
  • Establishes and seeks to maintain a solid working relationship amongst all study centres in the state in order to promote collaboration to build better, stronger and reliable I.T solutions.
  • Ensures that students get to know the dynamics of entrepreneurship as it concerns the I.T sector considering the challenges of the 21st century
