As blockchain technology matures, we are seeing fewer blockchain experiments and more development of robust enterprise-ready solutions that are transforming many digital businesses; for example, cross-border blockchain-based payments which are faster, cheaper, and more secure; and in supply chain management, where blockchain technology improves tracking, greatly reduce transaction settlement time and automates payments using smart contracts.
Africa is adopting blockchain and cryptocurrency technology faster than its global counterparts – adoption has surged to more than 90% over the last year, and countries such as Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa, and Tanzania are ranked in the top 20 of the 2021 Global Crypto Adoption Index.
This has made Nigeria a perfect fit for the adoption of blockchain technology to solve major challenges in Africa.
The summit will provide an avenue for big ecosystem announcements, new product launches, core tech updates, keynote speeches, panels, pitching sessions, and fireside chats from global industry leaders. The top speakers are Inuwa Kashifu Abdullahi (DG NITDA), Prof. Tahir Mamman, VC of Baze University, Prof. Umar Garba Danbatta – Executive Vice Chairman of NCC, Vincent O.
