Kylian Mbappe and PSG Exit

Kylian Mbappe and PSG Exit

The forward who has scored 397 goals for club and country since debuting in 2015 (averaging a goal or an assist once every 74.2 minutes) has never hidden his desire to play someday for Spanish powerhouse Real Madrid amidst the celebrations and felicitations surrounding his contract signing.

Bearing in mind the amazing statistics posed by the French man, there is no surprise as to why a host of clubs are hot on the chase to secure his signature.

One of the greatest players on the planet is at the center of a saga that has yet to be unraveled.

Here, iLOTBET explores the consequences of Kylian Mbappe, the Paris Saint Germain Superstar’s exit from Parc de Princes.

Reduced wage bill

Any club owner would embrace a situation that reduced the wage bill by €630 million within three years. According to data courtesy of Capology, Mbappe’s wage accounts for about 20.5% of the total wage bill of €338,097,277.92 being paid excluding bonuses at PSG.

It will be an astute move to let go of the Frenchman (at this price) for a club whose transfer income has been challenged and whose finances have not been as favorable as others.

The lurking hammer of UEFA Financial Fair Play, which could be knocking on the door of the Parisian club soon, further supports this claim.

Refocusing on the club’s project

The potential departure of Kylian Mbappe could reshape PSG’s perception of the talents of other players in their squad, despite the obvious fact that teams with marquee players like him have to build structures around them.

The visible structure in place in favor of the team as a whole, PSG has a chance of returning to its glory days similar to when the Qatari government took over in 2011.

Letting off a huge ego from the squad

Another advantage PSG stands to gain from letting off the 24-year-old could be a purely psychological boost and overall change of aura at the French club. It should be recalled that in January 2018, then-PSG captain Thiago Silva was reported by Marca to have addressed a dressing room fracas which was reportedly between a young player and one of the team’s leaders.

Then coached by current Aston Villa gaffer – Unai Emery, there was a fracas between two South American camps, with the Brazilian group, following the arrivals of Dani Alves and Neymar, at loggerheads with the rest, led by Edinson Cavani.

A few sources suggested this strife was borne out of the preferential treatment that was given to Brazilian superstar forward Neymar Jr.

As a result, we are seeing a similar situation with regard to how the French star is being treated especially.

To improve their performances domestically and in the Champions League more importantly, the club can focus on building squad unity rather than speculation and the attention of one player.

Paris Saint Germain are back to their best after their impressive 4-1 victory against their Ligue 1 rivals Lyon. Bet on Paris Saint Germain at Parc des Princes only on the number one Sports Betting and Lottery platform – iLOTBET.
