Nigeria Innovation Summit 2023

The Nigeria Innovation Summit (NIS) today announces the 8th edition of its annual event, slated to hold on Friday, October 6, 2023, at Muson Centre, Lagos.

This edition of the summit will focus on the theme: Innovating for The Future. The Summit is an annual event that brings together critical stakeholders from different sectors of the economy to discuss ground-breaking ideas, trends, opportunities, and numerous verticals to accelerate innovation and solutions that solve unique challenges within Nigeria and the African continent at large.

Each year the summit provides a platform that fosters collaborations among government agencies, businesses, international organizations, innovators, researchers, the academic community, and startups.

It also provides opportunities for Nigerian innovators, researchers, and entrepreneurs to showcase innovative ideas, products and services with solutions for industrial applications, adoption, and commercialisation.

While announcing this year’s summit, Mr. Tony Ajah, the Programme Director of the summit, states,

“This is the time for Nigeria, with her vibrant population, to leverage emerging technologies like Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Virtual & Augmented Reality, Blockchain, Internet of Things, Robotics, Nanotechnology, Geonomics, Data sciences, etc. and apply them in critical sectors to solve local problems.

“The opportunities and new businesses provided and created by these new technologies are enormous, and we can’t afford to sleep on it as a people. As individual, organisations, and nations around the world are exploring different playbooks to innovate and improve the quality of their lives, Nigeria should not be left out.”

For the 8th year in a roll, Nigeria Innovation Summit brings in experts from around the world in several innovation ecosystems to Nigeria to share these global opportunities and network with participants are the summit.

This year’s event will feature innovation experience talks, panel discussions, startups pitch, and exhibitions focusing on healthtech, agritech, renewable energy and cleantech, fintech, real estate, edutech, techtainment, and startup/entrepreneurship development in Nigeria.

Participation in this event is open to local and international businesses, government agencies, embassies and high commissions, investors, start-ups, entrepreneurs, research centres, the academic community, companies/organisations, SMEs, policymakers, innovators, and all the stakeholders in the innovation ecosystem.
