Skyway Aviation Handling Company PLC (SAHCO) has been voted the best Air Cargo Operations Handler of the Year at the 13th edition of the Nigeria Aviation (NIGAV) Awards in recognition of SAHCO’s consistent quality Ground Handling service deliveries to her numerous clients.
The NIGAV Award is a celebration of aviation excellence with an objective to unify and create industry harmony.
It is also aimed at engineering healthy competition for safer air service delivery and promotion of development in the air transport community.
The event was attended by the crème de la crème of the aviation industry including Mr. Festus Keyamo, the minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development.
Speaking during the Award presentation, Mr. Fortune Idu, the chairman/Chief host of NIGAV Awards, said The NIGAV Awards are considered Nigeria’s most prestigious air transport awards, which has become a hall mark of industry inspiration and motivation, recognizing outstanding contribution in all areas of air transport development operations, services, technologies, leadership, management, promotions and creativity. He stressed that winners emerge without any form of inducement but strictly through public voting. He praised SAHCO for always ensuring quality, speedy and efficient services to clients by deploying an arsenal of modern Ground Support Equipment and always rendering services that are of international standards.
While accepting the award, Mrs. Adenike Aboderin, SAHCO’s Managing Director/CEO, who was represented by Mrs. Vanessa Uansohia, head, Corporate Communications, said this award will spur SAHCO’s commitment to always deliver quality services to her numerous clients in addition to exceeding clients’ expectations. She thanked the organizers for nominating SAHCO and extended her appreciation to voters who voted for SAHCO.
According to the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development , Mr. Keyamo who was the Special Guest of Honour at the event said,
