Edusko has set the stage for the 2024 edition of its flagship Summit, ACTIVATED, which would serve as an avenue for knowledge exchange and an intersection for key stakeholders in the education sector, whilst charting the way forward.
ACTIVATED, Africa’s premiere and biggest education summit is scheduled for November 1st and 2nd, 2024, at Muson Centre Onikan, Lagos.
Although it was formerly known as the Business of Education Summit, ACTIVATED has evolved into a pivotal gathering for education leaders, school administrators, educators, parents, policymakers, and industry influencers across the continent.
Over the past seven years, the summit has left an indelible mark, impacting more than 5 million students indirectly and hosting more than 20,000 attendees.
ACTIVATED 2024 aims to exceed expectations with an anticipated audience of over 5,000 participants across 2 days.
Commenting on the Summit, Jide Ayegbusi, the chief executive Officer of Edusko, said: “Our theme this year, Beyond Classroom, encapsulates our commitment to ushering in a new era of teaching and learning that empowers the next generation of African leaders beyond the classroom.”
According to him, “Participants can expect insightful discussions led by global speakers and experts, networking opportunities with key stakeholders, and a showcase of futuristic educational technologies and services.”
The highlight of the event is a special panel session for top African Celebrities and Influencers to discuss how they could be harbingers of change in our education system and help prepare the next generation of African children for the demands of the future workforce.
He noted that there is also going to be a plenary for teenagers to dissect their expectations from the older generation including parents, schools, and perspective shapers – as they prepare for the future workforce.
