In a quiet lab at Covenant University, under the fluorescent hum of microscopes and curiosity, a group of Nigerian scientists stumbled upon something extraordinary: water—reimagined.

Not the kind that flows from leaky taps or fills plastic sachets on roadside stands, but “structured water”—revitalized through the energy of a modest-looking disc made of glass.

At the center of this quiet revolution is the Amezcua Bio Disc 3, a palm-sized invention by QNET that, on the surface, might look like modern art.

But to the team of researchers led by Professor Abiodun Humphrey Adebayo, the immediate past Vice Chancellor of Covenant University, it could hold untapped potential for boosting the health of millions of Nigerians—especially those quietly battling under the shadow of low life expectancy.

A Quiet Crisis

Nigeria life expectancy for 2023 was 54.46, a 0.71% increase from 2022. Nigeria life expectancy for 2022 was 54.08, a 1.17% increase from 2021 – startling figures in a world where some nations are pushing past 80.

Contributing factors range from poor water quality and malnutrition to limited access to affordable healthcare.

In places where refrigeration is scarce and access to reliable purification systems is a luxury, the need for low-cost, health-enhancing innovations is critical.

This is what made the discovery at Covenant University so compelling.

Science in a Disc

The research, unveiled at the Amezcua Science Dialogue, showed that the Bio Disc3 doesn’t just “energize” water in a metaphorical sense.

Presentations by Toluwanimi Afolayan and Lois Chiamaka Eze, 400 level biochemistry students of Convenent University, highlighted how local drinks like Zobo, Palm Wine, Tiger Nut Milk, and Kunu showed significant improvements after being exposed to the Bio Disc3.

In other words, Amezcua Bio Disc3 measurably alters its conductivity, microbial safety, and absorption potential—turning ordinary water and these local drinks into safer, more bioavailable versions of themselves.

After exposure to the disc’s structured energy, water samples showed higher conductivity (a sign of increased energetic potential) and significantly reduced microbial content.

In a country where waterborne diseases are among the top health threats, this seemingly simple shift could quietly redefine clean drinking water for underserved communities.

A Promise for Households and Farms

Perhaps most hopeful of all was the story of the catfish.

In a 28-day experiment, those raised in structured water didn’t just survive—they thrived, gaining nearly double the weight and size of those in untreated water.

For fish farmers across Nigeria, where aquaculture is both livelihood and nourishment, this could mean better yields and healthier food supplies, without chemicals or costly infrastructure.

Meanwhile, student researchers from Covenant University found that even traditional drinks preserved with structured water showed longer shelf life and lower spoilage—opening doors for safe, non-chemical preservation that could uplift small beverage producers across rural Nigeria.

Not a Miracle—But a Start

Let’s be clear: the Bio Disc3 is not a cure-all. It’s not a replacement for medicine or robust infrastructure. But for a country navigating the complexities of modern health with limited resources, it introduces a scientifically validated tool that’s accessible, affordable, and rooted in nature’s own design.

As Professor Adebayo put it, this isn’t just about theory—it’s about what the science shows right here, on Nigerian soil, by Nigerian minds.

In the quiet glass of structured water lies a louder message: innovation doesn’t have to be distant or expensive. Sometimes, the answer is already flowing through our communities—just waiting to be seen, tested, and shared.

“Today marks the first time I am publicly presenting the results of our structured water experiments using QNET’s Amezcua Bio Disc 3. This isn’t just about theory, it’s about what our laboratory here at Covenant University has been able to confirm through rigorous, hands-on testing. One of the key concerns we sought to address was whether the energy-enhancing properties of the Bio Disc would also increase toxicity levels or microbial contamination in the treated liquids. These are valid scientific questions, especially when introducing quantum energy devices into areas like nutrition and public health.

“So, we looked beyond just energy. We examined multiple factors—electrical conductivity, which is an indicator of energy potential; microbial load, which directly relates to safety and shelf life; and mineral absorption profiles, which have health implications for end users. The results were both fascinating and promising. Not only did we observe increased conductivity in structured water, indicating improved energy-carrying capacity, but we also recorded a substantial drop in microbial content. In essence, the water became both more energetically vibrant and safer to consume,” Adebayo revealed.

Adebayo emphasized that the QNET products, including the Bio Disc3, Amezcua E-Guard X, BioLight, and Chi Pendant 4, are not intended as medical replacements but as health-supporting innovations rooted in quantum biology.

“These findings support what global scientists like Dr. Beverly Rubik and Prof. Konstantin Korotkov have long said: ‘our biofield can be enhanced through targeted, nature-based energies. The Bio Disc’s ability to transform water is measurable, and our results show it,”’ he said.

Earlier in this remarks, Professor Timothy Anake, the vice chancellor of Covenant University, reiterated the Institution’s commitment to research that addresses local challenges with global relevance.

In his words:

“For over 23 years, Covenant University has pursued excellence, and our ranking as Africa’s number one private university underscores that dedication. Today’s event reflects the kind of innovation we champion—one that is both evidence-based and people-focused,” he stated.

Anake commended Professor Adebayo, for his work in validating the antimicrobial and energy-enhancing effects of structured water through the QNET Amezcua Bio Disc.

“What excites me most is the involvement of our students in this research. They are not just spectators, they’re co-investigators, and this is the kind of hands-on learning that prepares them for leadership in science and industry,” Anake added.
