On a month-on-month basis, however, prices edged up by 0.79%, increasing from ₦1,398.57 in October 2025 to ₦1,409.61 in November.

Niger State recorded the highest average diesel price in November 2025 at ₦1,477.57, followed closely by Jigawa State at ₦1,477.31 and Enugu State at ₦1,468.29.

In contrast, the lowest average prices were seen in Kebbi State at ₦1,308.94, Katsina State at ₦1,315.78 and Nasarawa State at ₦1,325.29.

By geopolitical zones, diesel was most expensive in the South-East, where it sold for an average of ₦1,419.34 per litre. The South-South recorded the lowest zonal average price at ₦1,400.58.

Average prices in other zones stood at ₦1,406.16 in the North-Central, ₦1,406.02 in the North-West, ₦1,411.38 in the North-East and ₦1,416.99 in the South-West.

On a year-to-date basis, diesel prices peaked in June 2025, when the average retail price reached ₦1,813.81 per litre.

The lowest price for the year was recorded in October 2025 at ₦1,398.58 per litre.
