The hackthon is a high-impact innovation challenge designed to unleash Enugu’s next generation of builders, coders, and solutionists.

Organized by the Enugu SME Center and the Office of Digital Economy, in partnership with Genesys Tech Hub, The Garage, and Capitis Global Ventures, the Enugu State Campus Hackathon offers $100,000+ (about 164,800,000 Nigerian naira) in prizes, mentorship, and startup support.

Who Can Apply?

Students, recent graduates, and Enugu-based youth (ages 18–35). You don’t have to be a student—just join any of the six participating campuses to compete.

Prize Breakdown:

Campus Rounds (per school):

🥇 1st – N750,000

🥈 2nd – N500,000

🥉 3rd – N250,000

Total Prize Pool for 6 Campuses: N9,000,000

Bonus Innovation Pool for Deep Technology in partnership with African Deep Tech Community – $5,000+

Grand Finale:

🥇 1st – $5,000 grant +  post-incubation support and funding

🥈 2nd – $3,500 grant +  post-incubation support and funding

The co-working space was commissioned by Prof. Chidiebere Onyia, the secretary to the State Government (SSG), alongside Arinze Chilo-Offiah, special adviser on MSMEs & Digital Economy/DG, Enugu SME Center, and Kelechi Nwaozuzu, general manager, Café One.
