The atmosphere was electric as he walked in, bringing with him an aura of excitement and anticipation.

He had an array of mouthwatering gifts in tow, which he generously distributed to delighted customers through a raffle draw system.

Customer Service Week wasn’t just about engaging with external customers; it also provided an opportunity for the business to celebrate its internal customers, the staff and reward them with fantastic prizes.

Employees participated in a question-and-answer styled game, similar to the popular television show “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire” which was sponsored by the tech giant for over 10 years.”

The questions were designed to challenge the staff’s knowledge with each becoming more difficult than the last, and as the questions got harder, the prize money increased.

The enthusiasm was palpable as the staff members eagerly answered questions in the hopes of winning enticing cash prizes and other rewards.

This initiative not only created a sense of camaraderie and healthy competition among employees but also recognized and rewarded their dedication to excellent customer service.

MTN Nigeria; Best in Speed, Latency – umlaut https://techeconomy.ng/mtn-nigeria-best-in-speed-latency-umlaut/ https://techeconomy.ng/mtn-nigeria-best-in-speed-latency-umlaut/#respond Wed, 27 Jul 2022 05:30:47 +0000 https://techeconomy.ng/?p=79654 MTN is the ‘Best in test’ in Nigeria, according to a German engineering consulting and services firm, umlaut’s report.

MTN Nigeria received this award from umlaut, an Accenture company “for adding something on top in Nigeria and reaching an overall score of 698 dots in mobile network benchmarking out of 1000”.

According to umlaut’s report, which comprised data collected for a period of 24 weeks, 462 million samples were taken, 81.7% of the build-up area and 82.8% of the population area were covered.

MTN Nigeria achieved the highest overall score among competitors and this claim went beyond the ‘Best in test’ award, the telecommunications giant also received the award of ‘Best rated user download speed’ and ‘Best rated latency’.

This year has been a great one for MTN Nigeria as it has climbed milestones beyond previous wins and has made tremendous impacts in the lives of many.

Included in its ever-increasing user-base, the telecom innovator recorded 1.3 million fintech subscribers in the first quarter of 2022, organised the Media Innovation programme where it spent over N300 million to help practitioners to stay relevant and scale, and the Y’ello Care programme themed ‘Empowering Communities to Drive Economic Recovery’ to upskill local communities with digital skills and training required to boost the economy at large.

On the other hand, umlaut is focused on providing services and solutions to the telecommunication industry, ensuring security is standard and weaknesses are identified.

For over two decades, the company has designed, managed, monitored, tested and optimised the world’s telecommunication infrastructure.

It has been at the fore of these through the leverage of technologies such as 4G, 5G, Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Mobile Edge Computing.

umlaut asserts that its crowd data provides insights on consumer experience worldwide, and assessments of mobile networks’ performance in over 120 countries are accepted as the de facto industry standard.
