This update, which uses Gemini 3 technology, includes “Find the Look” to help people discover fashion and decor directly on their screens without leaving their current app.

Since it launched, people have used Circle to Search billions of times every month to get information. This update changes the tool from single searches to a sophisticated experience that can break down complex images into several results.

Find the Look for Fashion For the fashion community in Nigeria, “Find the Look” allows people to circle a whole outfit they see online. Google’s AI identifies every part, such as tops, jackets, and shoes, and provides links for each item at the same time.

Harsh Kharbanda, Director of Product Management for Google Search, noted that sometimes people are looking for a whole vibe rather than just one thing. Whether someone is building an outfit or a mood board, Circle to Search is now more helpful by identifying unique items and explaining the context behind them.

Advanced Technology The new experience uses the reasoning capabilities of Gemini 3. By using a “visual query fan-out” technique, the model identifies the important parts of an image, runs several searches at once, and compiles a final response.

Device Availability These features are rolling out today on premium Android devices.

This includes the Samsung Galaxy S26, S26 Plus, and S26 Ultra. It also includes the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, Pixel 10 Pro Fold, and Pixel 10a).

Artificial intelligence, powered by the new Gemini platform and the Tensor G5 chip, is at the heart of almost every update.

Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro XL

The Pixel 10 lineup introduces several hardware and AI-driven upgrades. For the first time, the base Pixel model includes a 5x telephoto lens, previously exclusive to Pro versions. The Pro Res Zoom feature extends up to 100x zoom, promising clearer details through a new generative imaging model optimised for Tensor G5.

Fitbit AI Health Coach

Google is enhancing Fitbit with an AI-powered personal coach. Users can set goals, share available equipment, and receive customised workout and sleep improvement plans. A preview launches in October, integrated into the redesigned Fitbit app.

Gemini for Home

Google confirmed that Gemini for Home will replace Google Assistant on Nest devices, starting with early access in October.

• Works on Nest doorbells, security cameras, thermostats, and speakers.
• Still activated by “Hey Google.”
• Handles complex requests like playing specific songs or adjusting multiple home controls at once.
• Gemini Live integration enables natural, conversational responses.
• Both free and paid versions are planned.

Google’s Vision

At the Made by Google event 2025, Rick Osterloh, Google’s Senior Vice President of Devices and Services, summed up the company’s direction:

“We’ve always believed that a phone should be more than just a tool. It should anticipate your needs and make your life easier.”

A short teaser video now live on Google’s website confirms rumours, the Pixel 10 will feature a triple rear camera setup, the first ever for a non-Pro Pixel model.

The third camera, widely speculated to be a 10.8MP telephoto lens, is a change in Google’s camera strategy. Previously, optical zoom capabilities were limited to the Pro series. This change means more Pixel users will now have access to advanced zoom features without having to opt for the premium models.

Beyond the telephoto upgrade, the Pixel 10’s rear cameras will include a 48MP main sensor and a 12MP ultrawide lens, both carried over from the Pixel 9a. Visually, the phone retains the familiar flat-edge design and horizontal camera bar. 

However, the addition of a larger glass window to house the third lens is a subtle but noticeable redesign. The device showcased in the teaser sports a muted grey-blue finish, though four colour options, Obsidian, Frost, Indigo, and Limoncello, are expected at launch.

Interestingly, this is not the first time Google has intentionally leaked its own product. A similar early reveal happened with the Pixel 9 Pro last year. This time, however, the early reveal appears to be a pre-emptive response to mounting leaks online.

On the technical side, all Pixel 10 models will debut with Android 16 and run on Google’s new Tensor G5 chip, its first built using TSMC’s 3nm process. 

Google promises great performance improvements, better thermal management, faster AI processing, and longer battery life. The Pixel 10 will also come with deeper integration of Gemini Nano, Google’s latest on-device AI engine.

Expected software features include:

• Circle to Search 2.0, which allows follow-up questions without switching apps.
• Speak to Tweak, enabling photo edits via voice commands.
• Sketch to Image, converting doodles into visuals using generative AI.
• Pixel Sense, an experimental assistant designed to pull contextual information from apps and messages to offer smarter suggestions.

Pre-orders for the Google Pixel 10 are slated to begin on August 21, immediately following the launch event. Alongside the new phone, Google is likely to unveil the Pixel Watch 4 and an updated version of its wireless earbuds, the Pixel Buds 2a. Speculation also points to a possible reveal of the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, rumoured to feature an IP68 water resistance rating.

While Google has shared little beyond the design preview, its decision to confirm a key hardware upgrade weeks in advance has certainly stirred expectations.
