The high-energy event drew together Samsung executives, retail partners, media representatives, and technology enthusiasts for what the company described as a huge leap forward in television technology and connected living.

The evening reflected on how far television has come, from the days of manually turning dials to today’s fully connected smart screens.

For Samsung, that journey has been defined by 19 consecutive years as the world’s No. 1 TV brand, driven by a legacy of firsts: the Bordeaux LCD TV in 2006, the first edge-type LED TV, the first Smart TV with applications, the introduction of 100% Colour Volume QLED, and the curved UHD TV.

Why Samsung’s Real QLEDs Are the Gold Standard and Why You Should Choose Them

Now, Samsung says Vision AI takes the television beyond a viewing device into a lifestyle hub. “Our mission has always been to create technology that feels personal, intuitive, and inspiring,” said Tae Sun Lee, CEO of Samsung Electronics West Africa.

With Vision AI, we’re not just offering a TV, we’re introducing a smarter, more connected way to live, building on almost two decades of global leadership.”

The Samsung Vision AI TV features a Click to Search tool for instant information about on-screen content, and offers seven years of free OS updates to ensure users benefit from evolving AI-powered capabilities.

The Smart Home Control Tower allows effortless connection to Galaxy devices, Bespoke appliances, and other IoT products through SmartThings, while Knox Security safeguards personal information.

Oge Maduagwu, head of Marketing & Communications, Samsung Electronics West Africa, described the new range as “intelligent lifestyle hubs… Combining TV, AI Art, Live translations and sleek designs to set our TVs miles ahead of others.”

She detailed the 2025 lineup’s technical upgrades: glare-free OLED, expanded anti-glare on more Neo QLED models, up to 30% increased brightness, refresh rates as high as 240Hz for ultra-smooth motion, and Nigeria’s first 100-inch Neo QLED.

Live demos showcased the NQ8 AI Gen3 processor, which can upscale decades-old SD content to 8K resolution. SmartThings integration allowed a seated user to operate a washing machine, monitor the contents of a refrigerator, and even check on a baby in another room via Family Care notifications. Pet Care features let owners play content for their animals and keep an eye on them remotely.

Guests also saw gesture controls in action using smartwatches, adaptive sound that tailors audio to the content type, AI motion enhancer for sports and gaming, and glare-reducing display technology designed for bright environments.

The metal frame design and Art Mode, with access to over 3,000 artworks from global museums, drew attention from the design-conscious.

Samsung Health integration added a wellness dimension, syncing smartwatches and cameras to provide posture feedback during workouts, track heart rate, and even suggest recipes tailored to diet goals.

Retail Incentives and Market Push

Retail partners were introduced to structured display “slabs”, curated sets of 8, 11, or 14 units for in-store showcasing, depending on showroom size. Premium model differences, such as HDR10+ and local dimming for improved brightness and low-light clarity, were explained.

To drive early adoption, Samsung announced pre-order incentives. Customers buying select models could receive high-value gifts:

  • 85-inch models came with a 55-inch monitor worth ₦4.6 million.
  • 100-inch models included premium lifestyle items like side-by-side refrigerators.
  • 75-inch and 65-inch units offered other exclusive monitors and the newly introduced Music Frame, a speaker that blends into home décor while delivering superior sound.

In addition, a zero down-payment scheme with 12-month instalments was unveiled, supported by financing partners, to make the TVs more accessible.

Samsung’s Advanced ReTool technology, which reduces energy consumption by 25%, and solar-powered remotes stressed the company’s sustainability commitments.

In sum, Samsung Vision AI is packed with features designed to make the TV experience smarter and more personal:

  • Click to Search: Find information and personalized content recommendations about what you’re watching instantly, with just one click.
  • Future-Proof Design: Enjoy 7 years of free OS updates so that your TV keeps evolving, unlocking new AI-powered experiences over time.
  • Smart Home Control Tower: Effortlessly connect and control your Galaxy devices, Bespoke appliances, and other IoT products through SmartThings.
  • Knox Security: Advanced protection to keep your personal information safe while you stay connected.
  • Art & Entertainment: Seamlessly integrates with the Samsung Art TV lineup and offers immersive gaming, making it a hub for both creativity and play.

Summing up the company’s vision, Oge Maduagwu said, “For years, customers have put their trust in Samsung TVs, trusting them to get quality and value for their money, thus, making them the global No.1 TV brand for 19 years consecutively and the brand continues to honor that trust by delivering products that exceed expectations.

The new Neo QLED 8K, OLED, Neo QLED 4K, QLED & Crystal UHD TVs are now available at all authorised Samsung stores nationwide”, Maduagwu added.

Tonight is just about the beginning. The best is yet to come.”
