QNET unequivocally condemns all forms of human trafficking, fraud, exploitation, unlawful detention, and any other criminal activities that undermine human dignity and public trust.

The company commends the NSCDC for its swift response and for prioritising the safety, welfare, and protection of the affected individuals.

As investigations continue, QNET wishes to reiterate that it does not offer employment opportunities, overseas job placements, visa procurement services, migration programmes, or guaranteed financial returns in exchange for payment.

Any person, group, or organisation making such claims is acting independently and without the knowledge, authorisation, endorsement, or consent of QNET.

QNET operates a legitimate direct selling business model centred on wellness, lifestyle, and personal development products and services.

The company said it remains committed to ethical business practices and maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy toward the misuse of its name, brand, products, or business model for fraudulent or unlawful purposes.

The company will continue to cooperate with relevant authorities where necessary and encourages members of the public to verify any information regarding QNET’s products, services, and business opportunities through its official communication channels.

QNET remains steadfast in its commitment to consumer protection, transparency, and supporting efforts to combat fraud and human exploitation in all its forms.

Commenting on the incident, Biram Fall, regional general manager for Sub-Saharan Africa at QNET, said:

“Our thoughts are with those who have been affected by this unfortunate situation. We wish to reiterate that QNET does not offer jobs, overseas employment opportunities, visa services, or financial guarantees in exchange for payment. These are among the most common tactics used by fraudsters to exploit vulnerable individuals. We encourage the public to remain vigilant, verify information through our official channels, and report suspicious activities to the relevant authorities. Protecting the public and safeguarding the integrity of our brand remain top priorities for QNET.”

QNET maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy towards fraud, misrepresentation, and unethical conduct.

The company actively enforces its Code of Ethics and Compliance Framework and takes disciplinary action against any Independent Distributor found to be in breach of its policies.

Since commencing operations in Nigeria through its local partner, Transblue Limited, in 2022, QNET has intensified its collaboration with government institutions, consumer protection agencies, law enforcement bodies, and the media to combat scams and misinformation associated with its brand.

These efforts include the launch of the Say NO!” Anti-Fraud Campaign in November 2023, as well as strategic partnerships with the Lagos State Consumer Protection Agency (LASCOPA) and the Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment.

Beyond Nigeria, similar initiatives have been implemented in Ghana, Senegal, Burkina Faso, and Sierra Leone under the broader QNET Against Scams campaign.

These programmes are designed to educate communities on how to identify legitimate business opportunities, recognise common scam tactics, and avoid becoming victims of fraudulent schemes perpetrated in the company’s name.

QNET remains committed to working alongside governments, regulators, law enforcement agencies, media organisations, and civil society groups to combat fraud, protect consumers, and promote ethical entrepreneurship across Africa.

Members of the public are encouraged to verify information about QNET, its products, and its business model through the company’s official website.

Individuals who encounter suspicious recruitment activities, fraudulent job offers, visa schemes, or any misuse of the QNET name are urged to report such incidents through QNET’s compliance and integrity channels.

Suspected cases may be reported via WhatsApp on +233 2566 30005 or by email at network.integrity@qnet.net. All reports are handled confidentially and investigated in accordance with QNET’s compliance procedures.

How QNET is Reframing Direct Selling in Nigeria ahead of 2026 https://techeconomy.ng/how-qnet-is-reframing-direct-selling-in-nigeria-ahead-of-2026/ https://techeconomy.ng/how-qnet-is-reframing-direct-selling-in-nigeria-ahead-of-2026/#respond Thu, 29 Jan 2026 08:57:55 +0000 https://techeconomy.ng/?p=175180 As Nigeria faces rising youth unemployment and increasing scrutiny of informal business models, trust has become the defining currency of entrepreneurship.

Against this backdrop, QNET, a global wellness and lifestyle company, says it is repositioning ethical direct selling as part of the solution, not as a quick-income promise, but as a regulated, transparent pathway into micro-entrepreneurship, as it outlines its Nigeria-focused strategy heading into 2026.

With nearly three decades of experience in the wellness and lifestyle segment, QNET has operated in Nigeria through independent distributors and digital sales channels. QNET has been officially operating in Nigeria since  April 2021.

In recent years, regulators have intensified oversight of informal and semi-formal business models amid growing concerns around consumer protection, transparency, and fraud, reshaping expectations for how direct-selling companies operate in the country.

For Nigeria, where millions of young people rely on informal income streams, the distinction between legitimate direct selling and fraudulent schemes has become a policy and consumer-protection priority.

“Against this backdrop, QNET’s 2026 strategy for Nigeria will place integrity, strict regulatory compliance, and responsible stakeholder engagement at the centre of its operations. As the company adapts to tighter oversight and evolving market conditions, we believe ethical entrepreneurship must be anchored in transparency and accountability if it is to remain a credible pathway for economic participation, particularly for young Nigerians facing limited formal employment opportunities,” says Ayokunmi Solesi, general manager for QNET in Nigeria.

At the core of QNET’s direct-selling model are product value, transparent compensation structures, and strict adherence to consumer protection standards, principles aligned with the global direct selling industry’s performance as reported in the WFDSA 2024 STATS Report, which showed the channel generating around $164 billion in retail sales and supporting more than 104 million independent representatives worldwide.

QNET’s model ensures that Independent Distributors (IDs) earn solely from verified product sales rather than recruitment-based incentives, reinforcing the distinction between legitimate direct selling and illicit schemes.

This distinction, earning from products rather than recruitment, is widely recognized by regulators as the primary line separating ethical direct selling from pyramid-style schemes.

By prioritizing verifiable product demand and transparent earnings, QNET supports sustainable income opportunities and professional skill development that contribute positively to Nigeria’s formal economy.

Product innovation remains a key pillar of QNET’s 2026 outlook in Nigeria. Through its partner Transblue Limited since 2022, the company has hosted workshops and expos, such as the 2025 Lagos Product Expo, to promote innovation and youth opportunities.

These events showcased certified wellness products while addressing misconceptions, with over 8,000 attendees at the Abuja edition alone.

QNET’s product portfolio spans health, wellness, personal care, home living & living. At the heart of its wellness category are the Amezcua range of products – including the Amezcua Bio Disc and Chi Pendant  – which remain among the company’s most recognised offerings and are widely used for personal well-being and lifestyle optimisation. Complementing these are timepieces and accessories under the Bernhard H. Mayer brand, including the OMNI Watch, which earned a Silver Stevie Award in 2025 for its sustainability-forward design.

Together, these products reflect QNET’s continued emphasis on certified wellness, durability, and long-term consumer value within Nigeria’s growing lifestyle and wellness market.

Beyond product innovation, consumer protection is expected to be a central pillar of QNET’s strategy, amid rising financial fraud in Nigeria.

Building on recent advocacy and enforcement efforts, the company says it is expanding both preventive and defensive measures to safeguard consumers.

In an environment where financial fraud continues to undermine public trust, QNET says consumer education and institutional accountability must go hand in hand.

The company’s “Say NO!” public awareness campaign, launched in 2023, focused on helping citizens identify fraudulent schemes through mass outreach and community engagement across Nigeria and other West African markets.

This effort was reinforced through structured collaboration with Nigerian authorities, including the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC), aimed at disrupting impersonation networks and protecting the integrity of legitimate entrepreneurship.

Such measures place QNET among a small group of direct-selling firms in Nigeria publicly aligning enforcement, education, and regulator engagement as part of their operating model.

In addition to external advocacy, the company believes ethical direct selling must be enforced from within. Between 2022 and 2023, QNET suspended more than 80 distributor accounts across Sub-Saharan Africa for ethics violations, underscoring its zero-tolerance approach to misrepresentation and misconduct.

Continuous monitoring of digital platforms for brand misuse further reflects QNET’s view that compliance is not a one-time response, but an ongoing responsibility essential to sustaining trust in the direct-selling sector.

Complementing these legal efforts are educational programmes, such as QNET’s signature financial literacy programme, FinGreen Programme, launched in 2022 in partnership with Transblue Limited, which has trained over 1,500 young people and women across Nigeria in budgeting, saving, responsible spending, and digital financial literacy skills to avoid exploitation.

Moving forward, QNET aims to strengthen its role in Nigeria’s formal economy by positioning ethical direct selling as a viable pathway for micro-entrepreneurship, income diversification, and skills development, particularly among young people navigating an increasingly competitive labour market.

As Nigeria’s gig economy matures under tighter regulation, QNET argues that the future of direct selling will be decided less by scale and more by trust, measured in transparency, consumer protection, and the economic literacy of those it empowers.

Amezcua Product Workshop: QNET Unveils its Innovative Wellness Solutions in Nigeria https://techeconomy.ng/amezcua-product-workshop-qnet-unveils-its-innovative-wellness-solutions-in-nigeria/ https://techeconomy.ng/amezcua-product-workshop-qnet-unveils-its-innovative-wellness-solutions-in-nigeria/#comments Fri, 15 Nov 2024 19:01:16 +0000 https://techeconomy.ng/?p=147671 As the world becomes increasingly interconnected with the Internet of Things (IoT), concerns about the potential health risks associated with exposure to electromagnetic fields (EMFs) are on the rise.

QNET, a global direct selling company, is addressing these concerns with a range of innovative products designed to enhance well-being and mitigate the negative impacts of technology.

These efforts were spotlighted at the recent Amezcua Product Workshop in Lagos.

Bernhard Gaksch, QNET’s category manager and global trainer, highlighted the importance of wellness solutions in today’s tech-driven world. “Every electronic device, from smartphones to smart TVs, emits electromagnetic fields, which research suggests may contribute to issues like headaches, fatigue, and other serious health problems,” he explained.

QNET’s response includes products inspired by nature and backed by advanced science. Among them is the Bio-Disc 3, which restores water’s natural molecular structure, improving hydration, detoxification, and immune function.

“The best water comes from a stream, but as it travels, it loses energy. The Bio-Disc revitalizes this energy,” Gaksch stated, adding that its benefits extend to plants, pets, and food.

Complementing the Bio-Light 3, which uses sequenced light technology to accelerate healing, targeting chronic inflammation, muscle pain, and migraines. Gaksch noted its effectiveness in promoting faster recovery and nerve repair.

To combat harmful EMFs, QNET introduced the Chi-Pendant 4 and Amezcua eGuard X, which protect against 5G radiation and other electronic emissions.

The Chi-Pendant preserves the body’s natural biofield, shielding users from stress and fatigue, while the eGuard X transforms harmful EMFs into beneficial frequencies, creating a safer environment.

“It’s like protecting yourself from tobacco, but for the wireless age,” Gaksch remarked.

Biram Fall, QNET’s regional general manager for Sub-Saharan Africa, reaffirmed the company’s mission to empower individuals through its innovative business model, which combines direct selling with e-commerce. Operating in Nigeria for two years and across 25+ countries, QNET upholds ethical standards while offering lifestyle and wellness products to enhance lives and foster financial independence.

Fall highlighted the certification of several products by NAFDAC, including EDG3, Prospark toothpaste, and Physioradiance face serum. He also announced QNET’s second Product Expo, scheduled for November 16, 2024, in Lagos, showcasing its extensive product range and commitment to innovation.

Dr. Akeem Ajisafe, CEO of Transblue Limited, praised QNET’s collaborative efforts to promote wellness in Nigeria.

Since partnering with QNET in April 2022, Transblue has bridged logistical gaps and fostered youth empowerment through initiatives like the Say No Campaign,” which combats fraudulent job offers and human trafficking.

QNET’s Financial Literacy Program has also trained over 1,350 Nigerian youth, equipping them with entrepreneurial and employability skills.

Dr. Ajisafe encouraged participation in the upcoming Product Expo, celebrating the partnership’s achievements and its positive impact on communities.

As IoT devices continue to integrate into daily life, QNET’s innovations aim to empower individuals to harness technology’s benefits while safeguarding their well-being. With a growing presence in Nigeria and a focus on transparency, accountability, and community engagement, QNET is poised to remain a global leader in wellness-focused direct selling.

NIGERIA: QNET Joins the FMoLE for Youth Employability Training https://techeconomy.ng/nigeria-qnet-joins-the-fmole-for-youth-employability-training/ https://techeconomy.ng/nigeria-qnet-joins-the-fmole-for-youth-employability-training/#respond Sat, 03 Aug 2024 15:00:33 +0000 https://techeconomy.ng/?p=138934 QNET, a global lifestyle and wellness-focused direct-selling company, has joined the Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment’s Employability Training Programme to empower Nigerian youth.

This initiative is part of QNET’s ongoing “Say No!” awareness campaign to combat fake job offers leading to illegal migration across Africa.

The training, held in Nigeria’s Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, brought together young individuals seeking employment opportunities. The two-day programme featured a curriculum designed to equip participants with essential skills for safely navigating the job market.

QNET Highlights Critical Need for Fraud Prevention and Skills Development

At FMLE’s invitation, Mr. Biram Fall, QNET’s regional general manager, addressed the participants on recognizing and avoiding fraudulent job offers.

“We are proud to partner with the Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment in this critical initiative, as the unemployment rate of 53.4% remains alarmingly high. Investing in robust training and continuous education programmes is essential for creating a resilient and competent workforce. By doing so, we are protecting them from financial loss and boosting their employability against scams and fraudulent activities,” said Mr. Fall.

Fall highlighted the challenges QNET faces in Nigeria and other West African countries, where miscreants use the QNET name to lure unsuspecting youth into fake job offers.

He outlined the steps the company is taking to combat this through extensive public education programmes.

“We have witnessed first-hand the devastating impact of these criminal activities on young people who have fallen victim to fake job scams being propagated in our name. It is alarming to note how people with ill intentions are able to defraud unsuspecting victims who are just looking for a job to improve their life.

We’ve realised that the only way to combat this rising menace is through the power of education. That is why this training program by the FMoLE is such a powerful platform,” he said.

Ministry’s Dedication to Youth Empowerment

Miss Augustina Uka, Senior Labour Officer at FMoLE, spoke about the Ministry’s dedication to empowering youths:

“Our commitment to enhancing the employability of young Nigerians is unwavering. The Ministry has created the National Electronic Labor Exchange (NELEX) project, an innovative electronic platform designed to transform FMoLE ‘s employment exchanges into a robust database of employable manpower in Nigeria to facilitate job exchange and labour mobility.

“We aim to provide the necessary tools and resources for the Nigerian youth to succeed in the competitive job market. Through our collaboration with QNET, we understand the company and their aim to help people live better lives by educating and empowering youths with the knowledge on how to identify and avoid fake job offers, such as the Say NO! Awareness campaign.

FMLE wishes to work closely with QNET moving forward to help deliver on the mandate of the Ministry, which is to create an enabling environment for job creation, leading to increased employment opportunities and economic growth in Nigeria.”

Akam Comfort Dufang, a participant in the training programme, shared her experience:

“The training programme taught us employability, entrepreneurship, and management skills, and helped us identify available job opportunities in Nigeria. Also, I had heard of QNET before and believed it was a fraudulent company, but through this programme and hearing from a QNET representative about their efforts to combat misinformation, my perspective has changed.”

Another participant shared his story about nearly falling victim to a job scam.

He was offered a lucrative salary but was asked to pay an upfront fee before starting. He even sold his laptop to make the payment. Fortunately, he was saved by the news that the person offering the job had been arrested by the police. He expressed gratitude for the invaluable education received.

QNET’s Commitment to Positive Social Impact

QNET remains committed to making a positive impact on society by supporting training programmes like the FMLE initiative to enhance employability among Nigerian youth and foster a safe, informed job market. Over the past two years, QNET’s FinGreen financial literacy programme has equipped over 1,350 Nigerian youth with essential skills for financial independence.

Additionally, QNET has collaborated with agencies like the Lagos State Consumer Protection Agency (LASCOPA) to expand awareness efforts, educating youth on the dangers of fake job offers and human trafficking.

In Nigeria, QNET operates through its franchise partner Transblue Limited.
