"Journalism NeXt: A Comprehensive Guide to Modern Journalism", by Ediri Oyibo

Ediri Oyibo, the editor of TheNewsGuru, is set to officially unveil a new book titled “Journalism NeXt: A Comprehensive Guide to Modern Journalism.”

The landmark event promises to contribute significantly to the evolving media landscape in Nigeria and beyond.

The book, which is the product of extensive research and practical experience, provides in-depth insights into contemporary journalism practices, with a focus on digital transformation, ethical reporting, media sustainability, and the future of news in a rapidly changing world.

“This book is a response to the urgent need for innovation, credibility, and adaptability in journalism. It is designed to equip media practitioners with the tools required to navigate the complexities of today’s information ecosystem,” Oyibo stated.

The event will also feature the public presentation of research findings on the state of journalism in Nigeria, with a specific focus on the challenges faced by journalists in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), alongside the formal unveiling of the book and networking opportunities for participants.

The event is scheduled to hold on Thursday, April 30, 2026, at the Secretariat of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), FCT Council, Utako, Abuja.
