Tony Elumelu Foundation has kicked off applications for the Tony Elumelu Entrepreneurship Programme (TEEP).

The Tony Elumelu Entrepreneurship Programme (TEEP) will provide startups with training, mentorship and funding. The 10-year programme has a $100,000,000 commitment to identify, train, mentor and fund 10,000 African entrepreneurs by 2024.

The programme is one of the largest private sector responses driving the economic recovery of African youth, women and SMEs despite the impact of the pandemic.

Building on the Programme’s success and its unique ability to identify, mentor and fund entrepreneurs across Africa, the Foundation is increasingly sharing its robust delivery platform and working in partnership with institutions such as United Nations Development Programme, the African Development Bank, the International Committee of the Red Cross, GIZ, and United Bank for Africa Plc, to create meaningful and permanent impact across Africa.

Benefits

12 successful applicants will receive:

  • 12 weeks of intensive online training
  • Access to a world-class mentor
  • $5,000 in seed capital for proof of concept and access to further funding
  • Access to the TEF network of startups

The TEF Programme has so far empowered 15,847 African entrepreneurs with non-returnable seed capital of $5,000 each; twelve weeks of business management training; access to experienced mentors; and membership to Africa’s largest entrepreneurial ecosystem.

This year, the Tony Elumelu Foundation disbursed $24,750,000 to 5000 African entrepreneurs across Africa for its 2021 Entrepreneurship Programme.

Thus far, the Tony Elumelu Foundation has trained, mentored, and funded over 9,000 young African entrepreneurs across 54 African countries through its Entrepreneurship Programmes, and provides capacity-building support, advisory and market linkages to over 1million Africans through its digital networking platform, TEFConnect.
