The International University of Information Management (IUIM), in collaboration with the Institute of Information Management (IIM), hosted the 2024 Annual Convention Induction and Investiture, recently at the prestigious Houston Christian University.
This year’s theme, “The Cloud Fusion: Connecting Data, Insight, and Opportunities in the Cloud,” underscored the pivotal role of cloud technology in shaping the future of data management and analytics.
The event brought together thought leaders, industry experts, and academic professionals from around the globe to explore the latest advancements in cloud computing and its transformative impact on data insights and opportunities.
The convention featured a series of keynote addresses, panel discussions, and question-and-answer sessions that highlighted innovative strategies and best practices for leveraging cloud technology to drive business success.
Key Highlights of the Convention:
- Induction and Investiture Ceremony: The event commenced with the formal induction and investiture of new members into the IUIM and IIM community, recognizing their outstanding contributions and commitment to the field of information management.
- Panel Discussions: Engaging panel discussions provided attendees with insights into the practical applications of cloud technology in various industries, including finance, healthcare, and education. The panels featured industry leaders such as:

Honorary Awards Program:
The convention also included an Honorary Awards Program, celebrating the achievements of individuals that have demonstrated excellence in the field of information management.
During the ceremony, several distinguished individuals were conferred with honorary doctorate degrees from the prestigious International University of Information Management (USA).
This esteemed recognition was bestowed upon Otunba Olayinka (Ola) Jaes, FIIM, Jamila B. Hairston, Cameron Hairston, Kayode Abegunde, FIIM, Adebola Oluwafisayo Folorunso, Ranti Jacobs Agbaminoja, FIIM, Princess Tiwalade Fapohunda, FIIM, CDOA, FNIPR, JP, Ambassador Kolawole Ogunsolu, FIIM, Maureen Adaeze Joseph, Oluwatosin Oladeinde, Ade (Adedamola) Oladeinde.
Induction and Oath of Office:
A significant highlight of the event was the induction and oath of office for Otunba Olayinka (Ola) James, FIIM, as the Acting Vice President of IIM United States.
This ceremony marked a pivotal moment for the Institute, as Otunba Olayinka James stepped into his new leadership role, committing to furthering the mission and vision of IIM in the United States.
Ambassador (Dr.) Oyedokun A. Oyewole, International President/Chairman Executive Council-IIM Africa, expressed his enthusiasm for the event, stating,
