Avanti Communications, a global leader in satellite communications, said it has over $800 million in Africa, solidifying its commitment to driving connectivity and growth across the continent.

This significant investment comes as Avanti continues to expand its footprint in Africa through local partnerships and the rollout of innovative connectivity solutions..

With a strong focus on Africa, Avanti Communications has positioned itself as a key player, establishing a significant presence in key African countries, including Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa, Angola, and Benin, where more than a fifth of its workforce is based.

In recognition of Avanti’s unwavering commitment, the company has been named the market-leading high-throughput satellite capacity partner in sub-Saharan Africa for the second consecutive year.

The latest NSR (NSR Satellite Capacity Supply & Demand Analysis) report highlights that Avanti’s market share in the region surpasses its closest competitor by more than two times.

A pivotal moment came in 2019 when Avanti Communications secured approval from The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) for a landing permit for the HYLAS-4 satellite space segment over Nigerian territory. This milestone solidified Avanti’s position as a prominent player in the African satellite communications market, unlocking opportunities for expanded connectivity solutions throughout the country.

Avanti Communications’ unwavering dedication to bridging the digital divide is evident through its successful efforts to connect hard-to-reach rural communities and bolster network resiliency for critical communications infrastructure.

The company has achieved remarkable milestones, connecting over 1,000 villages and schools across various African countries, including Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa, Tanzania, Ghana, Angola, Côte d’Ivoire, Cameroon, and South Sudan.

Building on these achievements, Avanti Communications has ambitious plans to connect an additional 10,000 sites over the next five years, impacting the lives of millions and empowering communities to embrace the advantages of a connected life.

Kyle Whitehill, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at Avanti Communications, expressed his enthusiasm for the company’s pivotal role in Africa’s development, stating, “Africa is a major focus for us, and we are delighted to be recognized as the market leader.

However, our mission goes beyond accolades. We firmly believe that connectivity is the key to unlocking Africa’s limitless potential. By providing vital resources and opportunities, we aim to empower individuals, businesses, and communities to thrive.”

Avanti Communications’ dedication to innovation and cutting-edge satellite technology has positioned the company at the forefront of Africa’s digital revolution. Its strong commitment to driving connectivity and transforming lives sets the stage for Avanti to play a pivotal role in shaping Africa’s future
