The NOVACOM Summits networking and business event with a digital transformation strategy focus is taking place in Cape Town with senior African telecom executives.

The $100 billion opportunity to link people on the continent, according to the event’s organizers, NOVACOM Summits, is presented by Africa’s digital transformation path, which has gathered momentum.

Improved social and economic outcomes for African individuals are made possible by the telecoms industry, which is essential for the continent to realize its full potential, establishing the groundwork for improved government, healthcare, and education.

For increased digital solutions and communication throughout Africa, communications service providers (CSPs) have a chance and a duty to act as catalysts.

Juliet Ehimuan, former director of Google West Africa, will be the keynote speaker at the NOVACOM Summits. Google’s transformational digital initiatives, including Get Nigeria Businesses Online and the localization of Google Maps, Streetview, and YouTube.ng, were propelled by Ehimuan.

One of the biggest issues of the twenty-first century is expanding connectivity across the African continent, which presents a huge opportunity for the telecommunications industry, including operators, submarine and terrestrial fiber optic infrastructure, and data centers. Companies like Meta, 2Africa, Equiano, and Google, which are constructing significant fiber optic submarine cable projects in the region are fully aware of this.

Ryan Anderson, founder of NOVACOM Summits, speaking on the event, noted that the core ambition is to facilitate digital transformation in Africa.

The meeting is essential to promoting digital inclusion in the region because over half of the world’s population is not online and lives in Africa. With the greatest pricing disparity and the fastest-growing demand for international bandwidth, Africa presents a substantial economic opportunity to reduce the supply-demand gap by concentrating on terrestrial fiber, towers, and data centers.
